KG Mobility announced on the 23rd that they have held a signing ceremony for the 2023 wage and collective bargaining agreement—the first of its kind in the automotive industry—to strengthen labor-management cooperation for business normalization.

During the signing ceremony on the 22nd at the KG Mobility headquarters (located in Pyeongtaek, Gyeonggi Province), CEO Jung Yong-won and labor union chairman Sun Mok-rae, among other negotiating members, signed the agreement while reaffirming their commitment to cooperative labor-management relations, marking a significant milestone in the automotive industry with 14 consecutive years of conflict-free negotiations.

As a result, KG Mobility is able to conclude the wage and collective bargaining agreement without any disputes, thus focusing all their efforts on enhancing global sales and new car development, built on exemplary advanced labor-management culture of coexistence and cooperation.

Meanwhile, KG Mobility initiated their negotiations in June and reached a tentative agreement through 17 rounds of discussions by August 1, featuring elements such as a basic salary increase of 50,000 KRW and a special leave day for one’s 60th birthday. Ultimately, the 2023 wage and collective bargaining agreement was finalized with a 56.57% approval (1,621 votes) from participating union members (2,865 members).
