KG Mobility is expanding the trim offerings for Rexton Sports & Khan Coolmen and Korando to better reflect customer needs and increase choices based on purchasing conditions.

The Rexton Sports & Khan Coolmen, launched in May, has captured 89% of the domestic market share as the K-Pickup in South Korea. It has gained immense popularity among small business owners and outdoor enthusiasts. The expansion of trims aims to lower the entry barriers (price) of the Coolmen model, offering diverse trim configurations that widen the customers’ options.

Both the Rexton Sports Coolmen and Rexton Sports Khan Coolmen offered two premium trims: Prestige (34,780,000 KRW / 37,090,000 KRW) and Noblesse (38,310,000 KRW / 40,460,000 KRW). However, in response to consumer demand for value for money, they are adding entry trims, namely ‘Wild (28,790,000 KRW / 31,400,000 KRW)’ and ‘Wild Plus (33,280,000 KRW / 35,790,000 KRW)’. #Refer to the vehicle prices by trim below.

Notably, the newly launched Wild trim includes basic applications such as full LED projection headlamps, ensuring price competitiveness appropriate for an entry trim, while also providing the Coolmen’s differentiated premium specifications. The Wild Plus trim boasts excellent product competitiveness and value for money, featuring items typically found in imported ultra-premium pickups, such as LED rear combination lamps, a 12.3-inch digital cluster, and a 12.3-inch infotainment navigation package.

Additionally, the 3D Around View Monitoring System, which was not included at launch, has been added to the Rexton New Arena, enhancing safety and product appeal.

Moreover, since the Rexton Sports & Khan Coolmen are classified as cargo (pickup) vehicles, there will be no price increases due to the end of individual consumption tax reduction starting in July. They also provide excellent economic benefits, including an annual vehicle tax of 28,500 KRW and VAT refunds for individual business owners (10% of the vehicle price).

The Korando has also added the ‘C5 Plus (26,300,000 KRW)’ trim, which increases product appeal by incorporating preferred specifications as standard. The C5 Plus trim builds on the entry-level C5 (24,450,000 KRW) by including attractive features demanded by customers at a reasonable price point.

The C5 Plus feature highlights include a smart key system (with auto-closing), first row safety power windows, auto light control, rain-sensing wipers, a Hi-pass system (ETCS) & ECM room mirror, leather cover & heated steering wheel, heated seats for both the first and second rows, ventilated seats for the first row, a utility roof rack, a two-level luggage board & net, and second row armrest & cup holders.

Additionally, we have enhanced customer satisfaction by including popular option packages for Korando buyers, such as the 9-inch infotainment navigation package and styling package.
