GS Global has announced that they have officially started customer deliveries of the 1-ton electric truck ‘T4K’ in collaboration with BYD, with the first vehicle delivery ceremony held on the 7th.

On the 6th, GS Global conducted the T4K first vehicle delivery ceremony at the T4K Seoul Guro branch, in partnership with the official dealer for the metropolitan area, Shin Aju eTruck. The first owner of the T4K is customer Yang Sang-guk, who purchased it for canoeing and outdoor activities through a reservation and consultation application in the KakaoT app for ‘Purchase BYD Truck’. GS Global and Shin Aju eTruck presented Yang Sang-guk with a welcome package gift from KakaoT along with the new vehicle.

Receiving the first vehicle, Yang Sang-guk expressed, “I was considering an electric truck that could handle frequent long-distance travels during the week in Seoul and over the weekend to the suburbs, and with the T4K’s driving range, it’s perfectly feasible for inter-city travel. I believe the spacious cargo area that can accommodate canoeing equipment and other recreational items, along with the especially useful V2L feature for camping and various outdoor activities, will be my favorite features.”

The T4K is a 1-ton electric truck launched in collaboration with BYD, actively reflecting the needs of Korean consumers while providing practicality and convenience for drivers. It boasts the largest battery capacity among domestic 1-ton electric trucks at 82kWh, enabling driving ranges of 246km under normal temperature and 209km under low temperature, certified by the Ministry of Environment, with a motor output of 140kW showcasing its maximum performance. Additionally, the vehicle is equipped with BYD’s Blade Battery, known for its thermal stability, and the V2L (Vehicle to Load) feature that allows various uses and enhancements.

A representative from GS Global’s Mobility Division stated, “The T4K was launched by consolidating advanced convenience and safety features in collaboration with BYD for the Korean market. As we begin customer deliveries with the first vehicle, we are preparing rapid deliveries so that many customers who have been waiting can quickly experience the T4K.”

Currently, the T4K can be viewed at dedicated showrooms located in Seoul’s Guro district, Osan in Gyeonggi Province, and Busan-Gyeongnam. Additionally, plans are in place to establish 14 dedicated T4K sales points and over 40 service centers this year in key regions with excellent customer accessibility, including Yongsan in Seoul, Cheonan, Daejeon, Daegu, and two locations in Honam area.
