The Jaguar TCS Racing Team announced their achievement of securing the championship title at the 13th round of the 2023 ABB FIA Formula E World Championship held in Rome, followed by a third-place finish in the 14th round, making it to the podium. This means the Jaguar TCS Racing Team has maintained their third-place position while closing the gap with the leader.

Mitch Evans claimed first place in the 13th round, achieving victory for the third time this season.

Sam Bird finished the 14th round in third place, marking his fourth personal podium result.

In the qualifying session for Round 13 of the Rome E-Prix held on the 15th local time in Italy, Mitch Evans crossed the finish line first, securing the pole position and adding valuable 3 points to the team’s score.

During the opening lap of the main race, Mitch Evans and Sam Bird competed fiercely for the lead based on a solid strategy, but ultimately, Mitch Evans managed to overtake the lead in the race’s later stages to claim first place.

On the 16th, in the semifinals of the qualifying rounds for Round 14 of the Rome E-Prix, Sam Bird was assigned the fifth grid after a tough battle. In the main race, he delivered a fantastic performance based on the team’s excellent strategy, finishing in third place and adding crucial points for the Jaguar TCS Racing Team.

Rounding out the first 14 rounds, the Jaguar TCS Racing Team has maintained their third-place standing while closing the gap with the leader. Mitch Evans is currently ranked third in the driver standings, while Sam Bird is in ninth place.

James Barclay, the team director of Jaguar TCS Racing, expressed his pride in the performances of both Mitch Evans and Sam Bird, stating, “I am very proud of the efforts of both drivers.” He added, “Now we need to regroup and prepare to give our best to win the final two races in London, UK.”

The Jaguar TCS Racing Team is diligently preparing for the 15th and 16th rounds of the 2023 ABB FIA Formula E World Championship, slated to take place on the 29th and 30th at the ExCeL in London.
