Tesla Korea officially began delivering the new Model S and Model X on June 16 at the Gwangmyeong Tesla Delivery Center.

On the first official delivery day, the Gwangmyeong Delivery Center was bustling with customers who had come to receive their vehicles after more than two years of waiting. To celebrate this historic moment of the first deliveries of the new Model S and Model X, Tesla Korea also remodeled the delivery center, including creating a photo zone. Customers enjoyed taking various commemorative photos in front of the photo zone, decorated with plaid patterns and lighting, relishing the joy of receiving their vehicles.

Mr. Kim, who reserved a Model S in June 2021, expressed, ‘I’m especially looking forward to the rapid acceleration,’ and added, ‘It’s worth the wait of over two years.’ Another customer, Mr. Kim, who reserved a Model X in October 2020, stated, ‘I was satisfied with the Model S and decided to purchase the Model X. My kids especially love the falcon wing doors that open like wings,’ expressing his satisfaction with the delivery.

The new Model S and Model X, which were initially launched in the U.S. in January 2021, are Tesla’s luxury flagship models, released in Korea in March. They are offered in two trims: the base and Plaid, with a maximum driving range of up to 555 km and 478 km respectively, setting industry-leading standards. The Model S Plaid reaches 100 km/h from a standstill in just 2.1 seconds, while the Model X Plaid achieves the same in 2.6 seconds, showcasing overwhelming performance.

Tesla Korea is also running various promotions offering rich benefits such as free supercharger perks and the Loot Box recommendation program, which includes vehicle discounts and credit accumulation for those who take delivery within June.
