Hyundai AutoEver has updated the in-car navigation systems of Hyundai, Kia, and Genesis vehicles with two new features. The company announced that the ‘Route Comparison’ feature has been improved and a ‘Scenic Route’ guidance option has been added through regular updates.

The Route Comparison feature is useful when the navigation route differs from the usual route the driver takes. This function informs the driver how the estimated travel time and distance vary when a different branching point arises while following the navigation route.

The in-car navigation from Hyundai AutoEver includes a function that guides the optimal route based on current traffic conditions. Depending on traffic situations, the suggested route may differ from what the driver usually takes, thus allowing the comparison feature to provide travel times and distances for each route, enabling drivers to choose their paths. This way, drivers can know in advance how much longer it will take if they take an alternate route without actually trying it.

Additionally, Hyundai AutoEver has added a new function called ‘Scenic Route’ guidance, which helps drivers find enjoyable drives.

The Scenic Route feature can be found under the ‘Search/Route’ menu on the navigation home, allowing users to select driving courses based on their set route, current location, or destination.

In the Scenic Route menu, information is provided including representative images, course names, hashtags, and distance information from the vehicle’s location to the starting point of the driving course. Drivers can set scenic routes as their destination or add them as waypoints, and they can also register them as ‘Favorite Courses’ to create a personal list.

Hyundai AutoEver, in collaboration with the Korea Tourism Organization, offers 86 scenic driving courses and plans to expand content partnerships to provide even more courses in the future.

Through this update, Hyundai AutoEver hopes that drivers can not only arrive at their destinations quickly and safely but also enjoy a more pleasurable and comfortable travel experience.
