Bentley Motors has created bespoke vehicle cushions to celebrate the coronation of King Charles III and Queen Camilla. The cushions, handcrafted by Bentley artisans, were provided to the British royal family for the coronation held on the 6th.

The bespoke cushions showcased were designed specifically for the Bentley vehicles used during the coronation of Charles III and Queen Camilla. Craftspeople from the Crewe factory, responsible for Bentley’s interior finishes, utilized their exquisite craftsmanship and advanced technology to create the perfect royal cushions.

The coronation cushions were inspired by the cushions from the 1958 S1 Continental Flying Spur, one of the models in Bentley’s Heritage Collection. The cushions are available in four different colors, featuring the official coronation emblem on the front and the monogram of Charles III and Queen Camilla embroidered on the back.

The cushion covers were made from carefully selected, mark-free Nordic cowhide. The official emblem symbolizing the coronation was meticulously transferred into embroidery through precise digital surveying, with artisans completing it flawlessly with over 30,000 stitches.

The cushions underwent the same quality inspection as Bentley automobiles to ensure perfect quality. It takes over three hours of meticulous handcrafting to create a single bespoke cushion through four rigorous steps. Leading up to the coronation, Bentley produced a total of 12 cushions over three days, which will not be sold to the public.

Furthermore, Bentley manufactures vehicles for the British royal family as a Royal Warrant brand, certified for quality by the British royal family. In particular, the state limousine, which was exclusively created by the bespoke division Mulliner to commemorate Queen Elizabeth II’s 50th anniversary of her reign in 2002, has become a representative vehicle of the British royal family.

For the coronation of Charles III and Queen Camilla, a total of five Bentley vehicles were deployed, including the State Limousine and Bentayga. On the day of the coronation, the royal couple used the Bentley State Limousine to travel from their official residence to Buckingham Palace.
