On the 17th of last month (New York local time), Lincoln unveiled the all-new Nautilus at a New York unveiling event, featuring further evolved design and digital technology.

By showcasing its next-generation mid-sized luxury SUV, Lincoln is expanding the concept of a sanctuary for both drivers and passengers. The exterior design of the premium SUV Nautilus has evolved completely, while the interior is designed to maximize space and bring tranquility to customers through a new connectivity experience. With an immersive 48-inch display, the revamped horizontal instrument panel provides a new level of connectivity, making it the largest display in its class.

Lincoln’s designers have incorporated the brand’s signature horizontal design elements into Nautilus, allowing passengers to feel as if they are the captain of a ship. The elegant yet dynamic exterior of Nautilus features newly designed LED headlamps, H2 pixel headlamps, and animated LED taillights. The revamped signature lighting indicates the brand’s vision for the future, while Lincoln lettering at the rear of the all-new Nautilus emphasizes its modernity.

The entire interior is outfitted with ambient lighting, and details inspired by sunlight reflecting off water are incorporated, such as a piano key shifter, instrument panel toggles, and sparkling audio knobs. When the Nautilus is started, lights illuminate from the center of the display to the front and rear door panels, creating a visual effect reminiscent of waves. Additionally, the flat-top steering wheel allows customers to feel a comfortable sense of openness and freedom beyond the wheel.

The all-new Nautilus combines a standard 2.0L turbocharged 4-cylinder engine with a targeted output of 250 horsepower and 275 lbf-ft of torque, paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission. The new 2.0L engine offers greatly improved fuel efficiency, benefiting from weight reduction, achieving an EPA-rated combined efficiency of 23 mpg.

With the growing popularity of hybrid powertrains, the all-new Nautilus offers an efficient 2.0L turbocharged GTDI hybrid engine (FHEV) across all trims, providing a targeted output of 300 horsepower and 255 lbf-ft of torque, combined with a continuously variable automatic transmission.

For signature gliding drive, the all-new Nautilus comes equipped with adaptive suspension and a suite of 12 sensors that continuously monitor vehicle motion, body movement, steering, acceleration, and braking activities. The Nautilus offers five drive modes (Normal, Conserve, Excite, Slippery, and Deep Condition), with functionalities designed to be easily switched with one touch without additional driver manipulation.

The all-new 2024 Lincoln Nautilus is designed to offer a serene sanctuary for customers to relax and recharge, integrating all available features for an entirely new sensory experience.

Nautilus offers an updated in-car digital experience, featuring the Lincoln Operating System, with an 11.1-inch center stack touchscreen that expands into a 48-inch display resembling the horizon, creating a personal sanctuary for the driver.

The new panoramic screen has been expanded across the dashboard to enable easier and more productive driving, allowing drivers to personalize information placement at the top to maintain focus on the road ahead.

Equipped with Lincoln Rejuvenate in the all-new Nautilus, the sensory experience encompasses lighting, screen visuals, seat positioning, and massage options, adjusting to personal preferences to create a space for drivers to relax and recharge.

Sharp, high-resolution animated symphonies displayed enhance various atmospheres. A digital variety of scents showcased as part of Lincoln Rejuvenate is accompanied by a cartridge filled with fragrances that richly satisfies the passengers’ senses.

The all-new Nautilus is among the first vehicles in its class to feature hands-free highway driving capabilities. Drivers can lightly tap the turn signal for automated lane changes through Lincoln BlueCruise 1.2, along with a new lane positioning feature, Lincoln Co-Pilot 360, Intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control 2.0, automatic emergency braking collision warning systems, and Active Park Assist, embedding standard advanced driver assistance technologies.

Lincoln designers have maximized second-row legroom to create the largest space in its class, allowing second-row passengers to also experience a ‘sanctuary.’ The all-new Nautilus will additionally provide three new interior color themes aimed at enhancing spatial perception and creating a tranquil cabin atmosphere, alongside four signature exterior color options including Red Carpet, Diamond Red, Chroma Caviar, and Whisper Blue.

With the Level Ultima 3D audio system, the Lincoln Nautilus delivers rich textures in sound. The system features 28 speakers that envelop the interior in multifaceted, rich sound, and is equipped with 24-way perfect position seating to offer passengers a complex and rich concert hall-like experience.

Diane Craig, who assumed the role of CEO of Lincoln last December, stated, “The Nautilus plays an important role in attracting new and younger customers to our brand, and this model will not only provide a comfortable space for customers to rest but also enhance the joy of driving, giving new meaning to Lincoln’s sanctuary.”

Making its global debut at this event, the all-new Lincoln Nautilus is also set for a domestic launch later this year.
