Volvo Cars Korea is recruiting participants for the ‘Volvo Village’ event, where the company’s eco-friendly character ‘Sunrogi’ will interact with customers, taking place at The-K Hotel grass square in Yangjae-dong, Seoul, from May 5 (Friday) to May 7 (Sunday) during the Children’s Day holiday.

This event is richly designed with various programs in a ‘Volvo Village’ space that harmonizes clear air and nature, featuring special performances by invited artists such as MeloMance, 10cm, and Kim Tae Woo. A 15-meter tall doll of Volvo’s eco-friendly character ‘Sunrogi’ and a photo zone created with recycled paper art by artist Han Yeon-woo are set to draw attention to participants. Additionally, there will be an event where participants can take photos at the Sunrogi photo zone and upload them on social media with the required hashtags to receive small prizes.

The prepared programs include an ‘Interactive Draw Program’ where kids can color Sunrogi via an electronic pad that gets showcased on an LED screen, DIY eco-bag activities, a Sunrogi doll vending game, face painting, and other easy and fun experiences for children, as well as magic and bubble shows.

Moreover, participants can enjoy various snacks and beverages at the event area set with parasols and picnic mats, reminiscent of Swedish-style relaxation known as ‘Fika Time.’

Iman-sik, Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Volvo Cars Korea, stated, “We planned the Volvo Village event to share the values of sustainability and the Swedish lifestyle that Volvo Cars Korea presents, centered around our eco-friendly character ‘Sunrogi.’ We hope that in celebration of May, the month of families, you will enjoy the spring outdoors at Volvo Village with your family, loved ones, or friends.”

Anyone can apply to participate in the Volvo Village event through the Volvo Lifestyle Shop website, with applications open from April 20 (Thursday) to April 25 (Tuesday). Winners will be announced on April 28 (Friday) through a random draw, and more details can be found on the Volvo Lifestyle Shop website.
