Alcantara has been adopted as the interior material for the BMW XM. Featuring the M Hybrid system for the first time, the BMW XM enhances the brand’s innovative character with the Application of Alcantara in the headliner.

The BMW XM, which was unveiled in 2022 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of BMW M GmbH, showcases an interior focused on providing a comfortable driving experience. Alcantara is applied to the headliner, designed with a three-dimensional prism structure, and, together with hundreds of LEDs, creates an opulent atmosphere. The deep blue Alcantara used in the vehicle’s roof harmonizes with the headliner color to create a soft, elegant ambiance inside.

Last November, Alcantara collaborated with BMW Italy to showcase a custom interior featuring Alcantara in the BMW M4 Competition. The seats, headliner, pillars, and door panels of the car are dressed in black Alcantara, finished with contrasting-colored stitching to commemorate the long-standing partnership between Alcantara and BMW, proving Alcantara’s exceptional customization capabilities.

Andrea Boragno, President of Alcantara, stated, “Alcantara is a lightweight, soft material with exceptional durability, beloved across various fields worldwide. We are very pleased to see Alcantara chosen for the BMW XM, encapsulating style, creativity, and cutting-edge design.”
