Honda Korea officially launches the 2023 Rebel 1100, a modern cruiser motorcycle designed for ‘fun riding’.

The Rebel series from Honda has received acclaim and love from a broad age range of customers, especially the millennial generation, thanks to its youthful and modern image. The Rebel 1100 carries the slogan ‘ALL DAY’ and inherits the distinctive, youthful, and characterful design of the Rebel series, developed under the concept of ‘Sit Back & Enjoy the Ride’.

The Rebel 1100 will be available in two trims: the ‘Rebel 1100T DCT,’ which allows riders to experience the convenience of automatic transmission and the joy of manual shifting, and the ‘Rebel 1100 MT’, which features a 6-speed manual transmission.

The power unit is equipped with a 1,084cc, 270-degree crank, liquid-cooled, parallel twin engine, incorporating a uni-cam system for downsizing and lightweight benefits. Additionally, new air cleaner, exhaust pipe, and muffler designs exclusively for the Rebel 1100 provide an attractive riding feel and exhaust sound across all speed ranges.

Four riding modes are offered (Rain, Standard, Sport, User), considering various riding conditions from everyday urban riding to long-distance touring and tandem riding with a passenger.

The styling integrates the distinctive design of the existing Rebel series while achieving a voluminous yet sporty modern cruiser silhouette through innovations around wheels and suspension components. A headlight with four thick linear LED inner lenses and light guidance, alongside LED front winkers and tail lamps, enhance visibility. The five Y-spoke wheels and wide rear tire contribute to a rugged image while supporting stable handling.

Another emblematic element of the Rebel 1100 is the fuel tank, which employs flangeless technology to remove unnecessary borders and joints, enhancing its aesthetic appeal and luxury.

Featuring numerous technologies and equipment for rider comfort, the bike has a seat height of 700mm and a forward seat design catering to Asian body shapes for a relaxed riding position for all ages and genders. The ‘Rebel 1100T DCT’ flaunts an impressive presence with a large front cowl and left/right pannier cases on the rear fenders, adding practicality with excellent wind protection and ample storage space suited for long-distance touring.

The generously sized fuel tank, combined with cruise control, allows for comfortable riding during long tours. The LCD digital meter displays information laid out for excellent visibility during rides. A C-type USB port is included in the storage space for easy smartphone charging.

Easy Hong, CEO of Honda Korea, stated, “The Rebel series is a unique modern cruiser reflecting Honda’s character and persona among liter-class cruisers. I hope many consumers enjoy a fun riding lifestyle with the Rebel 1100, which they have eagerly awaited following the release of the Rebel 500.”

The ‘Rebel 1100T DCT’ will be available in black, and the ‘Rebel 1100 MT’ in green, priced at 16.45 million KRW for the ‘Rebel 1100T DCT’ and 13.45 million KRW for the ‘Rebel 1100 MT’ (VAT included, reduced individual consumption tax applied).
