The ‘T-Now Upgrade feature’ is temporarily in operation to save precious time for TMAP users visiting popular attractions such as amusement parks during the May Golden Holidays.

On the 26th, TMAP Mobility announced the introduction of the ‘T-Now Live’ feature, which provides real-time traffic updates for popular destinations across the country. Targeted for Children’s Day and the Golden Holiday, this feature will run from the 27th until the 8th of next month.

‘T-Now Live’ is an upgraded service that shows the top 1-30 destinations with the highest real-time vehicle traffic across the nation. It also recommends popular nearby spots (restaurants, cafes, tourist attractions) that users frequently visit along with each destination, as well as comparing the current number of vehicles with the same time period from the previous day.

For example, on Children’s Day, May 5th, users can check how many more cars are heading to Everland compared to the same hour the previous day and decide on the appropriate departure time. This is expected to increase the chances of winning the ‘Golden Holiday guessing game.’

Last year, the number of TMAP users checking their vehicles heading to popular spots on May 5th surged. The use of T-Now was approximately 380,000 cases, which is more than double the monthly average (about 170,000 cases). The top designated theme park destinations nationwide were Everland, Anseong Farm Land, Seoul Land, Legoland, and Seoul Grand Park.

Moreover, the daily active user count (DAU) for TMAP exceeded 5 million for three consecutive days starting from last year’s Children’s Day. ‘T-Now Live’ is a product that actively reflects the needs of these users.

The T-Now themed recommendation feature has also been enhanced. It categorizes popular places based on last year’s most popular spots visited on Children’s Day, popular cafes & bakeries suitable for visits with children, top restaurants from last year’s Parent’s Day, spring vegetable restaurants, hot places opened at night in May, healing spots for day trips near the metropolitan area, night attractions that look even better at night, and healing spots for adults. This feature will be maintained throughout May.

Lee Han-sam, leader of the local contents team at TMAP Mobility, stated, “We placed the ‘T-Now LIVE’ button at the top area of the TMAP Home and T-Now to make the new feature easily accessible,” expressing hope that it will become a meaningful gift to help users visiting amusement parks with their children on Children’s Day win the guessing game.”
