KG Mobility is hosting the “KG Mobility Tuning Festival” to promote a healthy tuning culture and present trends in car camping and outdoor activities.

The event will take place from May 3 (Wednesday) to May 5 (Friday) for three days at the aT Center in Yangjae, Seoul, with participants selected through a fair evaluation process. A total of 25 exhibitors and individuals have been chosen, including 13 business tuning companies currently marketing or capable of building motorhomes, outdoor & trailers, and off-road & leisure vehicles, alongside 10 personal customization participants and 2 camping and vehicle-related product firms.

During the event, attendees will not only enjoy an exhibit of beautifully decorated KG Mobility tuning cars but also various side activities, such as an RC car experience that gained popularity at the 2023 Seoul Mobility Show, children’s day gift distribution (mini car tuning sets), and online voting for excellent tuning cars.

Tuning involves enhancing the performance or aesthetics of existing mass-produced vehicles to match the user’s preferences. As cars transition from mere means of transportation to integral parts of life, consumer interest in tuning continues to grow.

Tuning can be categorized based on its purpose. This includes tune-up tuning aimed at performance enhancement of the engine and drivetrain, dress-up tuning for personalizing the vehicle’s appearance through paintwork and wheel/tire changes, and build-up tuning which involves features like cargo beds and special attachments for motorhomes.

KG Mobility expects this festival to serve as an opportunity to lead a proper tuning culture along with the development of differentiated tuning cars unique to KG Mobility as an SUV specialist company.

Furthermore, during the event, visitors will participate in contests based on the business tuning cars and personal customized vehicles on display, with prizes awarded for the best tuning cars: 1st place 3 million KRW, 2nd place 2 million KRW, and 3rd place 1 million KRW, totaling 12 million KRW in prizes.

Participants in the festival will also enjoy various benefits. All exhibitors and individuals will receive promotional support through KG Mobility’s SNS channels along with basic exhibition materials. For business tuning companies presenting new items, the entry fee will be reduced, and individuals will be exempt from participation fees and also receive support for exhibition costs. Particularly, outstanding companies will be selected as KG Mobility’s tuning business partners, providing opportunities to expand new ventures together.

KG Mobility has established a special vehicle company, KG S&C, and will initially begin with the development and sale of customization products, expanding into new customization product development and reviewing for export markets, as well as developing and selling special vehicles modified from those produced by KG Mobility.

KG S&C plans to operate a separate consultation booth during the festival to enhance the development and activation of differentiated tuning cars. Additionally, companies interested in collaborating with KG S&C for tuning business, even if they are not participating in the festival, are welcome to visit for consultations.

A representative from KG Mobility stated, “Through the entries for this festival, we have confirmed that there is a significant consumer interest in tuning, akin to that for car camping or outdoor activities.” They added, “As an SUV specialist company, we will contribute to the cultivation of a proper tuning industry while developing differentiated tuning cars unique to KG Mobility.”
