Jaguar Land Rover has announced the opening of three new tech hubs in Europe, creating approximately 100 new engineering jobs to expand its global digital capabilities.

These new tech hubs, added to the existing six global tech hubs, are expected to serve as key bases for developing advanced driver assistance systems and autonomous driving systems that will be featured in Jaguar Land Rover’s next-generation modern luxury vehicles.

The new tech hubs are located in Munich, Germany; Bologna, Italy; and Madrid, Spain, where digital engineering technologies can be actively utilized. Munich is recognized as one of Europe’s top tech hubs, while Madrid and Bologna are regarded as emerging tech hubs with noteworthy growth in Europe.

Jaguar Land Rover’s existing tech hubs are located in Portland, USA; Budapest, Hungary; Shannon, Ireland; Shanghai, China; Bengaluru, India; and Manchester, UK. By employing over 1,100 engineers in these facilities, Jaguar Land Rover now boasts approximately 9,000 exceptional global engineering talents.

With a total of nine tech hubs located in key regions worldwide, Jaguar Land Rover is set to develop its next-generation modern luxury vehicles that offer seamless connectivity for customers, receiving data feeds and services from the advanced product development center in Gaydon, UK.

Thomas Müller, Jaguar Land Rover’s Director of Product Engineering, stated, “Jaguar Land Rover is leveraging the talents of experts in the field to develop new autonomous driving technologies that will equip future vehicles, offering customers a true modern luxury experience,” and emphasized, “Connectively with customers is essential, and our global engineering hubs will enable us to tap into the best talent through flexible working arrangements across various regions.”

Meanwhile, the addition of three new tech hubs signifies the advancement of the long-standing partnership between NVIDIA, a leader in artificial intelligence (AI) and accelerated computing, and Jaguar Land Rover. Jaguar Land Rover engineers are working tirelessly within this partnership to develop and deliver next-generation autonomous driving systems, digital services, and enhanced customer experiences.

The engineering teams working at the new tech hubs possess extensive expertise in autonomous driving technologies, including systems and functions, software, verification, and hardware.
