The Ford Ranger has been selected as the ‘2023 Women’s World Car of the Year’ by women from around the world.

The selection of the ‘Women’s World Car of the Year’ is determined by voting from a jury panel comprised of 63 female journalists from 45 countries across five continents. This jury panel is the only one in the automotive industry that consists entirely of women.

The evaluation criteria include seven categories: safety, driving performance, convenience, design, fuel efficiency, environmental impact, and value for money. The WWCOTY judges were deeply impressed by the Ranger’s diverse capabilities, stating, ‘It is a credible, stylish, and charismatic pickup,’ and added, ‘It combines efficiency as an off-road vehicle that can easily navigate any terrain with practicality, particularly in its cargo bed.’

Natasha Milner, the program manager for the Ford Ranger, expressed her confidence in how much customer feedback has been incorporated to make the Ranger suitable for work, family, and recreation. She noted, ‘As a mother in a family, I find the Ranger’s practicality and advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) extremely appealing.’ Regarding the Ranger’s selection as the Women’s World Car of the Year, she stated, ‘I thank this year’s women’s jury panel for acknowledging the Ranger’s global appeal and ultimate capabilities.’
