Top sales champions from Kia gathered in one place.

Kia held the ‘2023 Kia Star Awards’ event on the 17th at the Haevichi Hotel in Jeju, awarding 151 outstanding sales performers from the previous year.

The Kia Star Awards is an event designed to encourage the performance of exceptional sales staff and to reaffirm their commitment to meeting customer expectations through improved service.

This year, the honor of Kia Sales Champion was awarded to Lee Kwang-wook, a senior auto consultant from the Sangam branch, who sold 670 units last year.

Lee, who joined Kia in 1995, has consistently met with customers on the front lines of sales for 28 years. Due to his achievements of selling a cumulative total of 4,000 units, he was named a Grand Master for the 24th time earlier this year.

Upon receiving the award, Lee Kwang-wook expressed, “Reflecting on the many failures and trials I’ve experienced in sales has helped me think more from the customer’s perspective and lead to genuine relationships, which I believe has yielded great results.”

Following Lee Kwang-wook in the top 10 Kia Sales Champions are: ▲ Park Kwang-joo, Sales Director at Daechi Gallery branch ▲ Lee Sun-joo, Senior at Dangjin branch ▲ Jeong Tae-sam, Sales Director at Jeonju branch ▲ Jang In-hyuk, Senior at Sangam branch ▲ Ko Sang-hee, Senior at Sanggae branch ▲ Shin Min-cheol, Senior at Seongnam branch ▲ Hong Jae-seok, Sales Director at Chungcheong branch ▲ Jin Yu-seok, Senior at Sin-guro branch ▲ Lee Yeong-rok, Senior at Seo Jeonju branch.

Kia invited 165 family members of the outstanding sales employees to the award ceremony, providing a dinner event and two days for the families to travel together, fostering a sense of pride among the awardees.

Kia operates various reward systems, including ‘Kia Star Awards’ and ‘Long-Service Honor Awards’, to enhance the pride of sales staff and promote healthy sales competition.

Through the Kia Star Awards, the company grants titles such as ▲ ‘Kia Sales King’ for top sales (1-10) ▲ ‘Kia Superstar’ for annual sales of 200 units or more ▲ ‘Kia Star’ for annual sales of 120 units or more.

Honorary titles for long-term outstanding salespersons include ▲ ‘Star’ upon reaching a cumulative sale of 2,000 units ▲ ‘Master’ upon reaching 3,000 units ▲ ‘Grand Master’ upon reaching 4,000 units ▲ ‘Great Master’ upon reaching 5,000 units.
