Vision 357

Porsche Korea plans to showcase a lineup reflecting its heritage and future product roadmap under the theme “Color of Porsche” at the 2023 Seoul Mobility Show, which opens on the 31st, showcasing the grandeur of this unparalleled sports car brand.

To celebrate the “75th anniversary of Porsche sports cars”, this mobility show will feature the concept car “Vision 357”, a tribute to the brand’s first sports car, the “Porsche 356”, making its Asian debut.

This year, models that have been difficult for Korean customers to encounter will be unveiled for the first time in Korea, including the “963 LMDh”, which will compete in the FIA World Endurance Championship and Le Mans 24 Hours race, and the racing concept car “Mission R”, revealed at IAA 2021.

Holger Gehrmann, representative of Porsche Korea, emphasized, “In the past year, Porsche has achieved the strongest growth in its brand history in global and Korean markets; we are preparing not only aggressive operational investments for domestic customers but also an attractive product portfolio.” He continued, “At this Seoul Mobility Show, we plan to showcase an exclusive lineup of diverse colors reflecting Porsche’s past, present, and future, affirming our status as a modern luxury sports car brand.”

Making its debut in Asia, the “Vision 357” was first unveiled at the “Driven By Dream: 75th anniversary of Porsche sports cars” event held in Berlin, Germany, last January.

Designer Jung Woo-sung, a Korean designer for Style Porsche, will attend this Seoul Mobility Show to directly hold a press conference. Frank Moser, Vice President of the 911/718 model line, will also visit to grace the special occasion of the “Vision 357” Asia premiere for the media, customers, and fans in Korea, which has grown into the sixth-largest market in the world.

The “Vision 357”, built on the “356” model, possesses a monolithic form that emphasizes the importance of the Porsche brand legacy and timeless design. The body proportions, balancing past, present, and future, reflect Porsche’s unique design DNA, while the details visualize the future design philosophy.

The most notable feature is the advanced light signature that embodies a progressive future vision, equipped with a naturally aspirated six-cylinder boxer engine designed to deliver an excellent output of up to 500 PS (368 kW), theoretically capable of using e-fuel.

The wide track creates a strong impression and enhances driving stability. The 20-inch wheels are made of magnesium, featuring aerodynamically favorable carbon fiber covers and a central locking mechanism. Additionally, the wheels of the “Vision 357” remind of the legendary wheels of the 356 models. The 356 A and 356 B, equipped with drum brakes, have a distinctly large bolt circle of 205mm on the rim.

Porsche Korea will greet visitors with a diverse lineup of a total of 15 models including the “Vision 357” making its Asian premiere, the legendary “356A Speedster”, the racing car “963 LMDh”, “Mission R”, “911 RSR ‘Pink Pig'”, as well as the “Taycan 4S Cross Turismo for Jenny Ruby Jane”, “911 Edition 50th Anniversary Porsche Design”, “718 Cayman GT4”, “Taycan GTS”, and “Panamera 4 Platinum Edition”.
