The 2023 Seoul Mobility Show opened on the 31st. The mobility show, filled with numerous cars, is a feast of diverse automobiles. A particular model from each brand is selected for focused spotlight.

The Torres EVX has made its debut. It’s the electric version of the hugely popular Torres, which was launched last summer. This model is significant as it marks KG Mobility’s first electric vehicle since the company’s name change from Ssangyong Motor.

The front end is noticeably different from the standard Torres model. The Torres EVX features horizontal LED daytime running lights with a dotted, segmented lighting block design, emphasizing the cutting-edge design unique to KG Mobility. The interior is finished with an ergonomic design concept that is slim and wide.

The Torres EVX significantly enhances safety. By using lithium iron phosphate batteries, which are being widely adopted by global brands, the risk of fire has been considerably reduced. According to WLTP standards, it can travel over 500 km on a single charge, and company measurements indicate that it can exceed 420 km in South Korea on one charge.

The price of the Torres EVX is expected to be set between 48.5 million won to 49.5 million won for the E5 model, and between 51 million won to 52 million won for the E7 model. With region-specific electric vehicle subsidies, KG Mobility anticipates the Torres EVX could be available in the 30 million won range.

The Torres EVX will begin pre-orders today, the 31st, and is set to launch in the domestic market in the second half of the year.
