The proportion of sales outside the EU area reached 27.4%, growing by 3.7% points compared to 2021, continuously approaching Peugeot’s goal of internationalization.

When looking regionally, a total of 772,466 units were sold in Europe. France took the lead with 305,065 units registered, followed by Italy, the UK, Spain, and Germany.

In South America, where 108,065 units were sold, Brazil registered 41,773 units, making it the country with the highest sales of Peugeot vehicles outside Europe. In the Middle East and Africa region, 97,293 units were sold, while 70,148 units were sold in the Indian-Asia Pacific region.

The best-selling model was the ‘208’, a B-segment hatchback. It recorded total sales of 299,131 units, making it the most sold Peugeot model both in Europe and globally.

Peugeot also achieved significant results in the electrified vehicle market, with the all-electric models ‘e-208’ and ‘e-2008 SUV’ becoming leaders in the European B-segment electric vehicle market. The PHEV model of the Peugeot ‘3008 SUV’ has maintained the title of the best PHEV in Spain for three consecutive years.

Linda Jackson, CEO of Peugeot, stated, “Despite the challenging global situation, I am very proud that Peugeot has grown its sales in regions outside Europe by nearly 4% and that currently one in five Peugeot vehicles registered in Europe is an electrified model,” adding, “The e-208 is leading the B-segment electric vehicle market in Europe.”
