Toyota Korea has donated 80 million won to the National Cancer Center on the 14th for the ‘Support for Pediatric and Vulnerable Cancer Patients’.
This donation will be used to support medical expenses for vulnerable cancer patients, operate psychological development programs for young cancer patients, and improve the environment of the pediatric oncology ward ‘Doram Retreat’. Through art and cultural experiences, the initiative aims to develop social skills in young patients and establish a ‘Wishes Fulfilled Program’ to assist with the psychological difficulties faced by pediatric cancer patients during treatment.
In 2021, Toyota Korea established a ‘Hospital School’ for pediatric cancer patients at the National Cancer Center. The Hospital School is supported by dedicated teachers dispatched from Pungsan Elementary School in Goyang, enabling young patients to continue their education and form peer relationships. Inside the school, ‘Doram Retreat’ has been set up as a relaxation space where patients can read and rest comfortably.

As a corporate citizen growing together with society, we will continuously engage in community contribution activities to support our neighbors in need in Korea.”
Since 2001, Toyota Korea has consistently supported cancer research funding at the National Cancer Center and has dedicated resources to treat pediatric cancer patients. The total cumulative donation amount has reached approximately 780 million won to date.
Additionally, to become a beloved corporate citizen in Korean society, the company has been steadily engaged in social contribution activities for talent development and environmental sustainability through initiatives like the Sejong Dream Orchestra, the T-TEP industry-university cooperation program, Lexus Creative Masters, and Lexus Young Farmers.
