Re-Tech has announced that its eco-friendly 1-ton electric street sweeper, developed with in-house technology, has been designated as an excellent product by the Public Procurement Service. This electric street sweeper, released last October, marks Re-Tech as the first company in South Korea to introduce such a special purpose vehicle in electric form.

The Public Procurement Service’s excellent product designation system rigorously evaluates products manufactured by small and venture businesses based on their technological and quality excellence. Products designated as excellent can be procured through negotiated contracts according to national contracting laws.

The Re-Tech 1-ton electric street sweeper incorporates advanced technology that enhances product performance, including: △An object buoyancy and suction system △Automatic blower RPM adjustment based on debris volume △Infrared camera lens cleaning technology △High-performance fine dust filter. This innovative build improves cleaning performance while also implementing air purification features, allowing efficient cleaning suited for various surface conditions.

Moreover, this zero-emission vehicle produces no exhaust gases, with fuel costs only about one-tenth that of conventional diesel street sweepers. The lack of any maintenance costs, aside from the replacement of essential consumable items like suction brushes, renders it an economical choice for municipalities and public institutions seeking eco-friendly solutions.

The Re-Tech 1-ton electric street sweeper can operate for up to six hours on a single charge and is effective in cleaning fine dust and debris in narrow alleys, commercial areas, and residential neighborhoods, making it particularly suited for urban environments.

Going forward, Re-Tech plans to actively pursue sales in the civilian market for industrial sites, amusement parks, and zoos, as well as expanding exports to overseas markets such as Southeast Asia and Russia. The company aims to sell 100 units domestically and 50 units for export annually.

CEO Chae Kyung-sun stated, “With this designation of an excellent product from the Public Procurement Service, we expect sales of the Re-Tech 1-ton electric street sweeper to increase among municipalities and public organizations nationwide,” adding, “In line with the global trend of adopting eco-friendly vehicles, we intend to continuously expand our product lineup to include medium and large-sized electric and hydrogen-powered street sweepers.”

Founded in 1994, Re-Tech has been producing various special road management vehicles, including street and tunnel cleaning machines, snowplows, and sewer dredging vehicles, and holds the top market share in the fine dust suction vehicle segment. To advance as a specialist in eco-friendly mobility, the company is also dedicated to developing driving technologies that utilize electric power for small-sized special vehicles and hydrogen fuel for medium and large-sized special vehicles.
