Aston Martin has revealed images commemorating its 110th anniversary and announced plans for new model launches.

Since the partnership of founder Lionel Martin and Robert Bamford on January 15, 1913, their passion for racing has led to over a century of innovation. Starting from a small workshop located in Henley-on-Thames, London, Aston Martin has grown into one of the world’s most iconic automotive brands, known for its creative design, craftsmanship, superior performance, and rarity.

To celebrate this milestone, Aston Martin released images of one of its oldest racing cars, the ‘Razor Blade’, alongside the extraordinary hypercar ‘Aston Martin Valkyrie’. The juxtaposition of these two models, which are considered the most innovative and emblematic in the brand’s 110-year history, emphasizes the brand’s commitment to transcending performance limits.

The ‘Razor Blade’, designed with aerodynamics in mind, was one of the first cars to set numerous records at the British Grand Prix held in Brooklands in 1923. A century later, Aston Martin continues to innovate, launching high-performance models and allowing drivers to experience Formula One (F1) level performance on regular roads with the ‘Valkyrie’.

In celebration of its 110th anniversary, Aston Martin plans to launch a new and special limited-edition model within the year. As part of its global marketing campaign, the brand will participate in various events, including the ‘British Grand Prix’ held at Silverstone, the UK’s largest car festival ‘Goodwood Festival of Speed’, and the United States’ ‘Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance’, garnering attention worldwide. Additionally, Aston Martin announced plans to unveil next-generation sports cars focused on luxury, performance, and high-intensity driving.

Amedeo Felisa, CEO of Aston Martin Lagonda, stated, “In 1913, Lionel Martin and Robert Bamford joined forces to open a new horizon of automotive innovation, leveraging their experiences from racing cars and tracks. Their spirit has continued to thrive even to this day, having produced over 110,000 vehicles over 110 years. This year, we will unveil a very special model that will be a flagship of the brand, marking as special a year as the very first year of Aston Martin.”

2023 marks the 75th anniversary of Aston Martin’s DB series and the 60th anniversary of the historic DB5 model, making it a monumental year for the brand. The Aston Martin Gaydon Centre, known for its world-class sports car design and engineering, also celebrates its 20th anniversary.
