Tata Daewoo Commercial Vehicle is set to launch the updated mid-sized truck, ‘2023 DEXEN,’ revealing its interior images and new naming for the first time.

The new ‘2023 DEXEN’ emphasizes a ‘driver-focused compact space’ as its main concept, redesigning the vehicle’s interior to create a more efficient and convenient environment for commercial truck drivers who spend much of their time on the road.

With a luxurious dashboard and a more refined interior, the design maximizes driving convenience and space utilization by securing space between the dashboard and the seats. The full digital cluster and oversized AVN enhance driving convenience and visual satisfaction.

Additionally, the ‘2023 DEXEN’ anticipates partial changes to its exterior design, heightening expectations for the model.

In conjunction with the launch of the ‘2023 DEXEN,’ Tata Daewoo will change the English naming of the existing ‘DEXEN’ from ‘the CEN’ to ‘DEXEN,’ standardizing the English representation of ‘XEN’ (meaning strong) for its heavy truck ‘MAXEN’ and medium truck ‘KUXEN.’

The new English naming for the mid-sized truck ‘DEXEN’ is a combination of the initials from ‘Designed Efficiency’ and Tata Daewoo’s brand identity ‘XEN,’ signifying ‘a mid-sized truck designed for maximum efficiency.’

With this, Tata Daewoo aims to incorporate a complete ‘XEN’ brand identity across its entire model lineup, from mid-sized to large trucks.

Kim Bang-shin, President of Tata Daewoo Commercial Vehicle, stated, “The ‘2023 DEXEN’ has incorporated design elements that evoke premium passenger cars throughout the interior, including the dashboard and seats, to provide a more efficient and comfortable space for drivers. We will soon unveil the newly revamped DEXEN, and we ask for the continued interest of all commercial truck drivers.”

The mid-sized truck DEXEN features a powerful engine with the highest output in its class, outstanding braking performance with full air brakes, and implements ZF’s latest 8-speed automatic transmission, a first in the commercial vehicle industry, providing high driving convenience and efficiency. It sets new standards in payload categories (3 tons, 4 tons, 5 tons) while applying a 2,280mm wide loading bed across all models, gaining significant market response.
