BMW Korea officially launches the flagship SAV, the ‘New X7’, in the domestic market.
First released in 2019, the X7 combines luxury, top-notch performance, and ample space to become the most successful model in the luxury class.
The newly launched X7 is a significantly refreshed model that offers a completely revised exterior design, an innovative and more luxurious interior, a mild hybrid system applied to all powertrains, and top-tier convenience features that highlight the unique value of this flagship SAV.
The New X7 embodies the latest design elements of BMW’s luxury class, emphasizing grandeur and presence. The newly designed separate headlights in the front create a more robust impression in harmony with the BMW kidney grille. The ‘BMW Iconic Glow,’ standard on all models, provides illumination effects for the kidney grille, adding a vivid and rich feel to the front appearance. The rear features newly designed ultra-thin 3D tail lights, with an elegant chrome bar covered by intricate glass that connects the rear lights and amplifies luxury.
The high-performance M Performance model, the New X7 M60i xDrive, features a black high-gloss finish on the BMW kidney grille, M side mirror caps, window line, and roof rails, while equipped with sporty 22-inch jet black wheels.
The interior of the BMW New X7 has evolved to be even more futuristic and luxurious. The latest BMW Curved Display is now mounted on the dashboard, consisting of a 12.3-inch information display and a 14.9-inch control display, designed to keep the driver focused on driving. The center console, featuring a clean design and a new gear selector lever, provides more spaciousness for the front seats.
The New X7 comes equipped with various standard features that enhance the luxurious feel. An illuminated ambient light bar positioned in front of the passenger seat creates various lighting effects according to the situation, while the ‘Panorama Glass Roof Sky Lounge’ offers a unique sense of openness in the interior space. Additionally, crystal materials used on the control panel, luxurious BMW Individual Merino leather, and M Anthracite Alcantara headliner are provided as standard across all models.
The New X7 is equipped with BMW’s latest engine that includes a 48-volt mild hybrid system, an 8-speed Steptronic sport automatic transmission, and the intelligent all-wheel drive system, BMW xDrive, as standard.
The New X7 xDrive40i, featuring the latest generation inline 6-cylinder gasoline engine, produces 381 horsepower, an increase of 41 horsepower from previous models, and 55kg·m of maximum torque, accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.8 seconds. The diesel variant, the New X7 xDrive40d, is equipped with a 6-cylinder diesel engine producing 340 horsepower and 73.4kg·m of maximum torque, reaching 100 km/h in 5.9 seconds.
The high-performance M Performance model, the New X7 M60i xDrive, is powered by a new 4.4-liter M TwinPower Turbo V8 gasoline engine that generates 530 horsepower and 76.5kg·m of torque, allowing acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.7 seconds. Additionally, the M sports exhaust system provides the characteristic sporty sound expected from a high-performance model.
All models of the BMW New X7 feature advanced chassis technologies that perfectly satisfy both everyday use and long-distance journeys, including adaptive 2-axle air suspension, Executive Drive Pro, and Integral Active Steering.
The active 2-axle suspension installed in the New X7 provides the best ride comfort tailored to the driving environment, while Executive Drive Pro controls the vehicle’s body to maintain maximum balance in all situations. Integral Active Steering actively steers the rear wheels according to the driving situation, enhancing driving stability and cornering performance.
The New X7 M60i xDrive features a specially designed 2-axle suspension and M sports differential, along with an M-specific steering system to enhance agility and dynamic driving performance.
The BMW New X7 comes equipped with an advanced driver assistance system as standard. This includes Active Cruise Control with Stop and Go function, Steering and Lane Keeping Assistant, Collision Avoidance Steering Assist, and an enlarged BMW Head-Up Display for improved visibility.
Every model is equipped with Parking Assistant Professional. This feature includes a reversing assistant that supports maneuvering up to 200 meters and the BMW Drive Recorder, which records panoramic views and corresponding videos in real-time while driving.
Additionally, a new Maneuver Assistant has been added that automatically performs all tasks required for moving, including acceleration, braking, steering, and gear settings, learning the process for specific points. The Maneuver Assistant can store up to 10 records of movement, reaching a maximum distance of 200 meters per route.
The New X7 is filled with the latest convenience features to support a comfortable and pleasant journey, maximizing passenger satisfaction. Standard features include heating functions for the front door and central armrest, a 5-zone air conditioning system, cupholder heating and cooling functions in the front seats, soft closing function for doors, and electric sun blinds for rear seats. Moreover, the New X7 M60i xDrive includes a Bowers & Wilkins Diamond Surround Sound System for superior audio quality and front seat massage functions.
The New X7 is available in two trims: Design Pure Excellence and M Sport Package, with the option for either 6 or 7 seats across all trims, offering a total of 9 configurations (the New X7 M60i xDrive is available only in the 6-seat option). Prices range from 145.8 million to 150.3 million won for the gasoline model New X7 xDrive40i, and from 146.8 million to 151.3 million won for the diesel model New X7 xDrive40d, while the high-performance M Performance model New X7 M60i xDrive is priced at 179.6 million won (including VAT, based on 3.5% individual consumption tax).
In celebration of the launch, a limited-edition New X7 M60i xDrive First Edition with M Marina Bay Blue exterior color, and a New X7 xDrive40i Design Pure Excellence First Edition with Sparkling Copper Grey Metallic exterior will be available for sale on BMW’s online shop starting at 3 PM on the 13th. Prices are set at 182.1 million won for the New X7 M60i xDrive First Edition and 155.7 million won for the New X7 xDrive40i Design Pure Excellence First Edition (including VAT, based on 3.5% individual consumption tax).
