TMAP Mobility has established a bridge to officially launch its ‘Airport Bus Reservation Service’ within the comprehensive mobility platform TMAP. This initiative accelerates the development of an integrated transportation service (Mobility as a Service, MaaS) that can connect payments all at once with services like UTI (Urban Transport Integration), public transport, and more.

On the 14th, TMAP Mobility signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Incheon International Airport Corporation (hereinafter referred to as the Corporation) to lead global mobility innovation and airport MaaS.

Through this MOU, both parties will collaborate in three key areas: universal transportation services, global services, and eco-friendliness. TMAP Mobility will leverage the extensive transportation database (DB) and digital capabilities accumulated by the TMAP platform over the past 21 years, while the Corporation will contribute its rich experience and infrastructure related to air travel.

Initially, they will actively cooperate to digitalize the purchasing process for airport bus tickets as part of the universal transportation services. The Corporation will provide support for the necessary infrastructure and information to create an optimal travel environment, and TMAP Mobility will utilize this to allow travelers to use reservation services via mobile devices.

Based on this collaboration, TMAP plans to offer recommendations for optimal airport transportation routes tailored to individuals by linking various modes of transport, such as airport buses and taxis, within the TMAP application, while also providing integrated payment services. They will also work together on establishing data-driven future airport transportation systems.

Eco-friendly transportation services will be established as well. The Corporation plans to increase charging infrastructure for electric and hydrogen vehicles, and in line with this, TMAP Mobility has decided to gradually replace its recently acquired Seoul Airport Limousine and Airport Limousine buses with eco-friendly vehicles. They will also collaborate on joint research projects for next-generation transport and work to reduce carbon emissions through optimizing mobility within the airport.

There is also a strong push to enhance global service competitiveness for tourists and foreigners. Through service compatibility with global platforms like UTI, they aim to build transportation services that are friendly to foreigners and pool their resources to develop new businesses based on airport infrastructure that enhance the passenger experience.

Lee Jong-ho, CEO of TMAP Mobility, stated, “This MOU is significant as it brings together an international airport equipped with extensive experience and rich infrastructure for air transport and a company with advanced data platform expertise related to land transport. We look forward to accelerating the digital transformation of various services related to the airport through our cooperation.”
