On the 7th of last month, Hyundai Motor Company signed a contract with the Social Solidarity Fund Investment Authority, an organization under the Libyan Ministry of Social Affairs, to supply vehicles for disabled individuals.

Through this contract, Hyundai will provide 3,000 Venue vehicles for individuals with disabilities affected by the Libyan civil war by the first half of 2023.

The Social Solidarity Fund Investment Authority is a public fund management body established to support the welfare of vulnerable social groups, including disabled individuals suffering from the civil war. It implements a vehicle purchase support program that covers 50% of the vehicle purchase cost for disabled war victims.

The vehicles supplied for disabled individuals will be equipped with features such as a hand controller that allows acceleration or braking using hands instead of feet for those with lower limb disabilities, and a steering assist device for drivers who need to operate the steering wheel with one hand.
