Jaguar Land Rover Korea announced that the premium compact SUV, the Land Rover Discovery Sport, received the highest rating of five stars in the Euro NCAP safety evaluation. All models in Land Rover’s lineup, including the Range Rover, Discovery, and Defender, achieved the top rating in NCAP safety evaluations.

The versatile family SUV, Discovery Sport, initially obtained a five-star rating at its 2014 launch and reaffirmed this achievement with a five-star rating in 2022 Euro NCAP evaluations.

In the child occupant protection category, Discovery Sport scored 89%, 71% in pedestrian protection, and 85% for its safety assistance systems, demonstrating enhanced safety compared to previous results. The adult occupant protection scored 84%.

Like the Discovery, Defender, Range Rover Evoque, Range Rover Velar, Range Rover Sport, and Range Rover models, Discovery Sport earned a top rating based on decades of accumulated experience in active and passive safety system areas.

Since its launch in 2014, the Discovery Sport has led the compact SUV segment.

Land Rover introduces its cutting-edge pedestrian airbag and Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB) functionality, further improved with new radar technology and updated algorithms. Additionally, redesigned headrests and seatbelts in the second row, along with a multi-collision automatic braking system, have significantly enhanced safety.

To protect passengers, the Land Rover Discovery Sport supports a variety of the latest driver assistance systems. Advanced technologies ensuring safety include Emergency Braking Assistance, Lane Keep Assist, Emergency Lane Keep Assist, a 3D surround camera with ClearSight Ground View, and Adaptive Cruise Control.

It comes standard with the latest infotainment system, PIVI Pro, equipped with Tmap navigation from Tmap Mobility, along with advanced convenience features supporting secure driving.
