The domestic sales of Korean cars in October reached 120,026 units, an increase of 5.3% compared to the previous month’s 113,656 units. Most brands saw increases, with Genesis up by 17%, while Renault Korea Automotive was the only brand to decline, falling by 14%.

Hyundai recorded sales of 49,445 units, marking a 4.4% increase from the previous month’s 47,264 units. The Porter saw sales of 9,020 units, up 6.1%, while the Avante increased by 26% to 5,615 units. The Grandeur experienced a slight rise of 0.5% with 4,661 units sold, and the Ioniq 6 saw significant growth with 3,667 units sold, up 38%.

Genesis recorded sales of 11,291 units, which is a 17.1% increase from the previous month’s 9,646 units. The G80 saw 3,082 units sold, reflecting an increase of 7.6% from 2,863 units. The G90 had sales of 2,818 units, up 27% from 2,217 units last month, while the GV70 recorded 2,413 units, increasing 2.8% from 2,348 units.

Kia recorded sales of 43,032 units, reflecting a 7.6% increase from the previous month’s 40,949 units. The Sorento saw a slight decline, with 5,127 units sold, down 3.9% from 5,335 units last month. The Carnival, however, increased dramatically by 124% with 5,004 units sold, while the Sportage rose by 11.5% to 4,950 units.

SSangYong sold 7,850 units, which is a slight increase of 2.3% compared to the previous month’s 7,675 units. The Torres had sales of 4,726 units, which is a modest increase of 0.9% from the previous 4,685 units. The Rexton Sports also saw a 12.4% increase with 2,077 units sold, while the Rexton rose by 24% to 429 units.

Renault Korea reported sales of 4,338 units, down 14.1% from the previous month’s 5,050 units. The QM6 fell sharply, recording only 2,007 units, down 31% from 2,909 units last month, while the XM3 saw a 10.2% decline to 1,540 units. The SM6, on the other hand, experienced a 50% increase to 475 units from 316 units the previous month.

Chevrolet sold 4,070 units, a slight increase of 1.4% from 4,012 units the previous month. The Trailblazer recorded sales of 1,360 units, down 1.4% from 1,379 units. The Bolt EUV, however, saw a significant rise of 74% with 908 units sold, while the Spark recorded 882 units, a drop of 14.5% from 1,031 units.
