Porsche expands its 911 product portfolio with the unveiling of the new 911 Carrera T, which maximizes sports car performance through lightweight structural optimization.

The ‘T’ in the new 911 Carrera T symbolizes touring, emphasizing a pure driving experience. It comes standard with a 7-speed manual transmission, with the option of an 8-speed PDK. The rear seats have been omitted.

The 911 Carrera T offers a pure and exhilarating driving pleasure, thanks to the 10mm lowered PASM sports suspension with reduced insulation materials. Whether on winding mountain roads or rural paths, the enjoyment of driving is palpable. The sound of the 6-cylinder boxer engine resonates notably in the interior.

Positioned between the 911 Carrera and 911 Carrera S, the 911 Carrera T features a bi-turbo engine with a maximum output of 385 horsepower and a maximum torque of 45.9 kg·m. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.5 seconds, reaching a top speed of 291 km/h.

Along with the manual transmission, standard equipment from the Carrera S enhances performance with features like Porsche Torque Vectoring and a mechanical rear differential lock. The 911 Carrera T also includes the Sport Chrono Package and PASM sports suspension as standard equipment—features that are only available as options on the Carrera S. The rear-axle steering, which is available in models above the Carrera S, can also be selected as an option on the Carrera T.

The Carrera S wheels in titanium gray, measuring 20 inches in the front (245/35) and 21 inches in the rear (305/30), are exclusive to the T model. Additionally, standard features include a GT sports steering wheel, a sports exhaust system, and four-way power-adjustable sports seats. Weighing in at 1,470 kg with the manual transmission, the 911 Carrera T is the lightest model in the entry-level engine 911 series and is 35 kg lighter than the 911 Carrera equipped with the 8-speed PDK.

Manual transmission is no longer offered in the Carrera. Beyond the omission of the rear seats and reduced insulation, weight has been further reduced with lightweight windows and a lightweight battery.

The ‘T’ in the Porsche 911 Carrera T model name stands for touring, a nod to the history of the 911 T certified as a touring car back in 1968. The original 911 T was sold until 1973 and was revived in 2017 with the 991 generation 911 Carrera T, continuing the lineage of a pure, authentic sports car. Since then, Porsche has introduced various models with a more restrained yet sportier setup concept, including the 718 Cayman T, 718 Boxster T, and Macan T.

The exterior of the 911 Carrera T, highlighted in dark gray, sets it apart from other 911 Carrera models. The top and bottom trimmings of the side mirrors, the new door logos, the rear logo, and the trim strip of the rear lid grill are contrasted with Agate Grey color.

The windscreen features a grey-colored top tint, and the tailpipes of the sports exhaust system are finished in high-gloss black. This completes the 911 Carrera T’s even more expressive and dynamic exterior.

The interior is enhanced by the standard four-way sports seats plus, adding to the sporty appearance. It is completed with matte black trim and high-gloss black inlays; customers seeking a more differentiated product can opt for the Carrera T interior package. Contrasting colors in Slate Grey or Lizard Green can be applied to the seatbelts and stitching, the 911 logo on the headrests, and the stripe pattern across the center of the seats. The floor mats also offer logo and stitching options in contrasting Lizard Green and Slate Grey colors.

The 911 Carrera T offers an option for adaptive sports seats plus (18-way power) and a full bucket set that features a racetrack-textured seat center, which is sportier and lighter.

The Carrera T interior package provides an extended leather interior. Leather is used for the armrests of the door panels and center console, as well as the top of the dashboard and door panel trim.

The new 911 Carrera T is available in four solid colors: Black, White, Guards Red, and Racing Yellow, along with finishes in four metallic colors: Deep Black, Gentian Blue, Ice Grey, and GT Silver. Special colors such as Chalk, Ruby Star Neo, Carmine Red, Shark Blue, and Python Green can also be chosen. Customers of the 911 Carrera T can opt for the ‘Paint to Sample’ program, which offers over 110 color options.

The Porsche 911 Carrera T is set to go on sale from February 2023, with a starting price of €123,845 in Germany, including VAT and special options.
