A year and a half. That’s the waiting period for the new Grandeur, which has just revealed its design ahead of its official release, setting a record of one and a half years of waiting.

A Hyundai sales representative reported that the waiting period for the seventh-generation Grandeur is indeed a year and a half. This includes customers who have already signed contracts for the existing Grandeur model and wish to transition to the new model. Hyundai plans to prioritize the delivery of the new model to existing Grandeur customers.

The seventh-generation Grandeur inherits design heritage from the first-generation model, known as the ‘Angular Grandeur,’ showcasing an angular form on the A and C pillars. The horizontally connected front lamps depict the strength and futuristic design that the Grandeur embodies. Similarly, the rear features flat, continuous rear lamps that create a cohesive design language in line with a futuristic aesthetic.

The interior design also carries over from the first-generation Grandeur, reinterpreting the legacy with a wrap-around structure that comfortably envelops passengers. The steering wheel has also been reborn, drawing inspiration from the first-generation Grandeur’s single-spoke design to integrate controls seamlessly.

The ambient mood lamps cross the door trims and dashboard, creating a serene space for relaxation. Real wood and aluminum trim that complete styling from the crash pad to the doors, along with Napa quilted leather seats inspired by Korean aesthetics, embody the quintessential luxury sedan experience.

The Grandeur’s powertrain is offered in four options: 2.5 GDi gasoline, 3.5 GDi gasoline, 3.5 LPi, and 1.6 gasoline turbo hybrid.
