Uti is enhancing support for its affiliated taxi drivers and those wishing to join by operating in-person support centers. The strategy aims to quickly resolve drivers’ inquiries on-site while providing a platform for sharing operational tips and know-how.

The in-person support centers feature Uti staff who stay on-site to provide detailed and friendly explanations regarding various inquiries related to the Uti app, including app usage, account management, and payment-related questions. This has reportedly garnered significant positive feedback from drivers. Additionally, what was previously possible only via phone or online consultations for franchise applications is now conducted on-site, including assistance with franchise applications.

Currently, Uti operates four in-person support centers: Uti Gongneung Support Center (Gongneung Welfare Recharging Station), Uti Nowon Support Center (Nowon Welfare Recharging Station, 2nd floor), Uti Sinjeong Support Center (Sinjeong Welfare Recharging Station), and Uti Yulhyeon Support Center (operational every Monday within the Korea Taxi Development Research Institute’s Mobility Support Center).

The Uti Gongneung, Nowon, and Sinjeong Support Centers operate from 10 AM to 7 PM on weekdays, while the Yulhyeon Support Center runs ‘Uti Day’ every Monday from 10 AM to 5 PM within the Korea Taxi Development Research Institute’s Mobility Support Center. If Monday is a public holiday, operations will be replaced by the following Tuesday. Notably, during this month’s Uti Day, two sessions at 10 AM and 3 PM will provide training programs where fellow taxi drivers share their insights on enhancing earnings through Uti’s promotional benefits while also teaching app usage.

Tom White, Uti CEO, stated, “Operating in-person support centers is part of our efforts to strengthen support for drivers, and it will act as a communication channel for both Uti affiliated taxi drivers and those aspiring to join.” He further added, “We will continue to provide unwavering support so that Uti taxi drivers can use the Uti app conveniently and operate in an improved environment.”
