Beam Mobility held a ‘Safe Riding Academy’ for employees at the Lotte Outlet Gwanggyo to build a culture of safe personal mobility device usage within the campus.

On the 22nd, Beam Mobility conducted its safety training program, the ‘Safe Riding Academy’, at the Lotte Outlet Gwanggyo. This academy, aimed at establishing a safe shared e-scooter culture, is developed through cooperation with various industry experts and offers education on the correct riding and parking methods for personal mobility devices.

Previously, the training primarily focused on general users and students, but with the recent rise of electric scooters as an efficient commuting mode, Beam Mobility is expanding the audience to include working professionals. By conducting safety training specifically for employees for the first time, they aim to cultivate safe riding habits for commuting on electric scooters and contribute to traffic safety.

This campaign included both theoretical and practical education on the proper use of personal mobility devices. Experienced instructors provided information on relevant laws, correct riding and parking methods, and safety rules to the employees. Following the theoretical training, practical sessions were conducted where participants could experience various difficulty levels of riding courses to prevent potential safety incidents during operation.

Additionally, Beam Mobility is supporting sustainable commuting modes for Lotte Outlet employees by providing electric scooters in dedicated parking areas for outlet users to facilitate convenient e-scooter use. In line with the collaboration with Beam Mobility, the Lotte Outlet Gwanggyo plans to establish dedicated parking zones to enhance convenience for employee participants and actively promote an eco-friendly commuting culture.

A Beam Mobility representative stated, “We are striving to establish a correct e-scooter usage culture for better urban mobility,” adding, “We will continue to develop various safety campaigns and educational programs through collaboration with different organizations and companies.”
