KG Mobility is hosting Korea’s first online live vehicle auction event.
At the 2023 Seoul Mobility Show held at KINTEX in Goyang, KG Mobility will conduct an online live auction event called ‘KG Mobility Auction’, featuring two eye-catching fully dressed-up models: the Torres (two units) and New Rexton Sports Kan (two units).
The ‘KG Mobility Auction Event’ will take place on April 8 (Saturday) and 9 (Sunday) at the KG Mobility booth during the Seoul Mobility Show, using the Grip application, a domestic auction live commerce platform. The auction bidding will start at around 90% of the vehicle price minus the cost of full dress-up.
The first model up for auction on April 8 (14:00~15:30) is an off-road racing concept ‘Torres’, with the vehicle priced at 35.4 million won + 13.04 million won for dress-up, totaling 48.44 million won. The second auction model, also a ‘Torres’, has been dressed up for camping life, with a vehicle price of 35.2 million won + 5.84 million won for dress-up, totaling 41.04 million won. Both models will start the bidding at around 31.8 million won and 31.6 million won, respectively, which is 90% of the vehicle price excluding dress-up costs.
The auction on April 9 (14:00~15:30) will feature a fully dressed-up vehicle of the ‘New Rexton Sports Kan’. The first auction model of the Sports Kan is optimized for overlanding and off-road outdoor activities, equipped with a rooftop installation and inch-up modifications, with a vehicle price of 44.71 million won + dress-up of 15.63 million won, totaling 60.34 million won. The second auction vehicle is designed with UTE BOX installation for various work functions, priced at 44.89 million won + dress-up of 26.46 million won, totaling 71.35 million won. The bidding starts at 40.20 million won and 40.40 million won, respectively.
To participate in the auction, download and install the Grip app from Google Play Store or Apple App Store, and log in to bid live. The auction will be broadcast in real-time through the Grip application.
Bidders can participate in the auction in increments of 1 million won using the bidding banner displayed at the bottom of the auction screen. Each vehicle’s auction time is 15 minutes, and the final bidder will be announced immediately after the auction ends.
KG Mobility’s Head of Domestic Business, Kim Kwang-ho, stated, “The auction vehicles have been specially crafted for camping and outdoor activities, including rooftop tents and body-up packages (inch-up/over-fender), with full dress-up costs ranging from approximately 5.8 million to 26.4 million won per vehicle. This is a rare opportunity to own a one-of-a-kind ‘my own Torres · New Rexton Sports Kan.’”
In addition, at the 2023 Seoul Mobility Show, which runs until the 9th, KG Mobility revealed the upcoming mid-size electric SUV Torres EVX and expanded the Torres lineup with a special model designed for outdoor and extreme leisure, the Torres TX.
KG Mobility also showcased design concept models like O100, KR10, and F100, capturing the audience’s attention and sparking curiosity about the company’s future design direction.
