On the 3rd, KG Mobility announced the launch of the new ‘Black Edge Package’ for the Rexton Sports & Khan, characterized by a black-themed design and customizable specifications.
The Rexton Sports & Khan holds an impressive 82% share of the domestic pickup truck market as of 2023, making it a leading model in the domestic pickup landscape. The introduction of this new package promises to give existing vehicles a fresh image while creating a trendy ambiance with black accents.
The newly introduced ‘Black Edge Package’ features a design with black color points applied throughout both the interior and exterior, primarily focusing on customization options like wheel arches and door garnishes. This package is available as an option for the Prestige, the flagship model of the Rexton Sports & Khan.
Key exterior elements embellished in black include the radiator grille, outside mirrors, utility roof rack, front bumper lower garnish, 18-inch black alloy wheels or 20-inch dark sputtering wheels, front wing logo, and tailgate lettering.
Inside the cabin, highlights include a touch-type air control garnish, horizontal dashboard garnish, and engine start/stop button switch ring garnish, all showcased in a sleek black finish.
Customization features also encompass wheel arches and door garnishes that enhance the vehicle’s grandeur.
The ‘Black Edge Package’ can be applied to five exterior colors preferred by customers, including Marvel Gray, Sandstone Beige, Amazonia Green, Grand White, and Space Black.
The sales prices of Rexton Sports are as follows: Wild at 29.11 million KRW, Wild Plus at 33.60 million KRW, Prestige at 35.10 million KRW, and Noblesse at 38.63 million KRW. For Rexton Sports Khan, the prices are: Wild at 31.72 million KRW, Wild Plus at 36.11 million KRW, Prestige at 37.41 million KRW, and Noblesse at 40.78 million KRW. An additional fee of 600,000 KRW is required for the ‘Black Edge Package’.
Additionally, starting from December, KGM will equip all models of the Rexton Sports & Khan with a fire extinguisher as mandating the storage of fire extinguishers in vehicles with over five seats becomes compulsory. This is a proactive approach to ensure safety in case of fire-related incidents.
A KGM official stated, “With the introduction of this luxurious black-concept design package, we aim to differentiate ourselves in the sluggish domestic market. We expect to provide customers who favor black a more extensive selection at a reasonable price.”
Meanwhile, in celebration of the Chuseok holiday, KGM is offering a 500,000 KRW cash rebate for customers making a one-time purchase of Rexton Sports & Khan during September. Furthermore, there are 24-month interest-free installments available with a 40% down payment, alongside 4% to 5.9% installment benefits for 60 to 72 months depending on the down payment (0% to 30%).
