Hyundai Opens New Certified Pre-Owned Car Center in Gunsan

On the 5th, Hyundai Motor Company opened a new certified pre-owned car center in Gunsan, Jeollabuk-do. This is the third center following the launch of certified pre-owned car operations in Yongin and Yangsan last October.

The Gunsan center occupies an area of 9,043㎡ (2,735 pyeong) and is equipped with merchandising facilities, space for 200 vehicles, a delivery workshop, as well as vehicle storage and shipping facilities. Currently, it can merchandise up to 120 cars a month, with plans to increase that number to a maximum of 400 vehicles in the future.

With the opening of the Gunsan center, Hyundai now has a total capacity to hold 1,538 certified pre-owned vehicles, including 800 in Yangsan and 538 in Yongin. As the number of vehicles increases, Hyundai plans to diversify its product offerings. Additionally, with the addition of this center in the southwestern region, it is expected to enhance logistics efficiency.

A Hyundai representative stated, “High-quality pre-owned vehicle products certified by the manufacturer, from Casper to G90, can only be purchased at the Hyundai certified pre-owned car center,” and added, “We will strive to provide certified pre-owned car services that customers can trust and be satisfied with.”

Hyundai is committed to providing safe and reliable products through rigorous merchandising and quality verification activities, based on the core value of their certified pre-owned vehicle business, ‘Made by Us, Cared by Us.’

Acquired vehicles undergo a merchandising process, including incoming inspections, precise diagnostics, quality improvements such as bodywork and painting, polishing and washing, final inspections, quality certification, and pre-delivery inspections before shipping. Furthermore, if parts or consumables need to be replaced, only parts certified by the manufacturer will be used.

Hyundai’s certified pre-owned cars undergo quality certification processes covering the maximum number of items, with 272 for Hyundai and 287 for Genesis, involving detailed inspections. These inspections are carried out using advanced equipment called Digital Pre-Delivery Inspection (Digital PDI).

Hyundai has also prepared various benefits in terms of after-sales service (AS) and cost advantages that only a complete automotive manufacturer can provide. When purchasing a pre-owned car that has either seen its warranty period expire or has less than one year or 20,000 km remaining, a warranty period (for one year or 20,000 km) is provided from the time of purchase. Furthermore, customers who sell their existing vehicles through the certified pre-owned car service and then purchase a new car can benefit from a discount under the ‘Trade-In Program (used car buyback service).’
