Mercedes-Benz Korea Launches Free Electric Vehicle Inspections Amid Battery Supplier Transparency

Mercedes-Benz Korea has announced that starting today (the 13th), they will disclose information about the battery cell suppliers for their pure electric vehicles. Furthermore, they will conduct a ‘Free Mercedes-Benz Electric Vehicle Inspection’ beginning tomorrow (the 14th).

In response to consumer and market demands, Mercedes-Benz Korea has decided to share information about the battery cell suppliers for the electric vehicles sold in South Korea through their official website. This information is currently available on the official website of Mercedes-Benz Korea (Battery Cell Manufacturer Status by Electric Vehicle Type (mercedes-benz.co.kr).

Additionally, the ‘Free Mercedes-Benz Electric Vehicle Inspection’ will commence on the 14th at 75 official service centers nationwide.

Mercedes-Benz Korea is cooperating with authorities to identify the exact causes of accidents, making every effort to support necessary follow-up actions based on the identified root causes.

Meanwhile, regardless of the ongoing investigation into the root causes of the accidents, Mercedes-Benz Korea decided to provide approximately 4.5 billion KRW in humanitarian support to the social welfare organization, Ai-Gwa-Mirae Foundation, on the 9th. These funds will be used for the restoration of damages caused by the accidents and to normalize the lives of the affected residents.
