Unveiling the Exciting ‘Apple Pay Week’ by Hyundai Card!

On the 26th, Hyundai Card announced the launch of ‘Apple Pay Week’ for members using Apple Pay.

‘Apple Pay Week’ is an event that provides special benefits when making payments with Apple Pay in designated industries, starting this month and taking place every last week of the month.

This month, the event targets sectors such as dining, coffee, confections, and desserts that Apple Pay users frequently enjoy. Participants must enter the event in the Hyundai Card app and make at least one payment using Apple Pay in these sectors by the 1st of next month.

Participants will be entered into a draw where a total of 10 prizes will be awarded, and all members except the winners will receive random cashback of up to 10,000 won.

A Hyundai Card official stated, “We are striving to expand our members’ experience with Apple Pay,” adding, “Efforts are ongoing to ensure that Hyundai Card members can use Apple Pay more conveniently, with the official participating brands doubling since the launch.”

Meanwhile, Apple Pay started its service in Korea in March of last year. Since then, the spread of NFC terminals capable of processing Apple Pay transactions has significantly increased, and the number of official participating brands and compatible merchants is consistently growing. Notably, the number of general merchants capable of NFC transactions outside of official brands has skyrocketed 15 times during the same period.

Hyundai Card members using Apple Pay can enjoy the same convenience internationally as in Korea. Thanks to the synergy between attractive overseas benefits of Amex and Korean Air cards with Apple Pay, overseas spending with Hyundai Card has surged by over 37% compared to last year, maintaining its position as the industry’s leader for several months.
