Lewis Hamilton of the Mercedes-AMG Petronas Motorsport team recorded victory at the British Grand Prix, the 12th round of the Formula One World Championship, held on the 7th of July.
In the race held at the Silverstone Circuit in the UK, Hamilton completed the 52-lap circuit covering a distance of 306.198 km in 1 hour, 22 minutes, and 27.059 seconds, crossing the finish line first in front of his home fans.
This victory marked Hamilton’s 104th career win, following George Russell’s win in the 11th round, bringing joy to the team with back-to-back wins. Additionally, Hamilton made history as the first driver to podium at the British Grand Prix for 12 consecutive seasons and celebrated his 150th podium as a member of the Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 team.

With this win, Hamilton moved up to 8th place in the season overall standings, while the Mercedes-AMG Petronas Motorsport team sits 4th in the Constructors Championship. Following the completion of the 12th race of the season, the 2024 F1 season is entering its second half, with the next race, the Hungarian Grand Prix, scheduled to take place from July 19 to July 21 in Budapest.
