LG Uplus will conduct pre-orders for Samsung’s flagship smartphones, the Galaxy Z Fold6 and Z Flip6, from the 12th to the 18th.
Customers wishing to pre-order can do so at the official online store ‘Uplus.com’ and at offline stores nationwide starting the 12th. The pre-ordered devices will be sequentially activated beginning on the 19th, and general customers will be able to purchase and activate the devices starting from the official launch date on the 24th.
On the 12th at midnight, LG Uplus will host ‘UplusLIVE,’ a live commerce event unique among telecommunications companies, to create a buzz for pre-orders. A total of 10 broadcasts will be scheduled until the 18th, featuring celebrities such as actor Kwon Hyuk-soo, singer Kangnam, model Heo Sung-bum, and IT YouTuber Eight. Specially, on the 15th at 6 PM, a foreign guest who speaks four languages will demonstrate AI features that can be useful during overseas travel.
LG Uplus has prepared various benefits for customers choosing the Galaxy Z Fold6 and Z Flip6.
First, reflecting the recent increase in OTT subscription fees, they will offer a three-month free trial of Disney+ (monthly fee 9,900 won). Customers who purchase and activate the Galaxy Z Fold6 or Z Flip6 between July 19 and 31 can subscribe to ‘Uplus-exclusive Disney+ (Standard)’ on the subscription platform ‘Yudok.’ After three months, the service will switch to a paid subscription.
They have also enhanced the ‘Galaxy Device Pack*’ benefit, which completely discounts the installment payments for a second device. Customers on plans over 115,000 won can select one from among the ‘Galaxy Watch7 Pack,’ ‘Galaxy Buds3 Pro Pack,’ or ‘Galaxy Buds3 + Fit3 Pack’ for full discount on the device installment payments, while customers on the plan at 105,000 won can receive full discount by selecting the ‘Galaxy Buds3 Pack.’
In collaboration with Shinhan Card, if customers use the Galaxy Z Fold6 or Z Flip6 for 24 months and exchange it for a new Galaxy flagship device by returning their old phone, they can receive a guaranteed compensation of 40% of the original price at purchase, regardless of the phone’s condition, through the ‘Used Phone Compensation Plan (10,000 won per month).’ They need to apply for the used phone compensation plan after receiving the ‘LG U+ Smart Plan Plus Shinhan Card’ upon purchasing the Galaxy Z Fold6 or Z Flip6. Customers can additionally receive a monthly discount of up to 15,000 won on their phone bill.
On Uplus.com, there will be an event where six pre-order customers are randomly selected to receive prizes including ▲ Miwoo Miwoo Mini Hobo Bag ▲ Dior Caro Dahlia Wallet ▲ Goyard Card Holder ▲ 2 million won gift certificate to Shinsegae Department Store ▲ Round-trip flight ticket to Paris, France ▲ Roborock S8 Pro Ultra. Additionally, a 30,000 won instant discount coupon will be given to all pre-order customers for the first 5,500 registrants who fill out the application form.
Exclusive benefits are also offered through the card partnership on Uplus.com. From July 12 to 18, customers can use up to 200,000 M points when they pre-order and complete the application using Hyundai Card, and using Samsung Card (personal) will allow them to receive 12 or 24-month no-interest installments as well as a cashback of up to 70,000 won.
Furthermore, Uplus.com offers a discount of 70,000 won for the first 3,000 customers who return their phones to ‘MediaLog’s’ phone buy-back service ‘Selo’ within 27 months after activating the Galaxy Z Fold6 or Z Flip6. This discount concept is provided on the condition of returning the phone within 27 months.
The monthly membership program ‘Uplus2Plus’ will run a promotion exclusively for those in their 20s under the brand ‘Uth.’ From those in their 20s who pre-order through the official Uth website (www.uth.co.kr), 500 will be selected to receive tickets (2 per person) for the ‘GS25 Music Beer Festival.’ This year marks the 10th anniversary of the festival, which will feature top domestic musicians like g.o.d and Geummi at three locations: Busan, Sokcho, and Ilsan.
LG Uplus has also introduced a limited edition version of the Galaxy Z Flip6 256GB model in collaboration with Naver Webtoon, called the ‘Webtoon Volcano Return Edition.’ This is the second collaboration with a serialized work from Naver Webtoon following this year’s ‘Garbage Time Edition’ based on Galaxy Z Flip5. The Webtoon ‘Volcano Return’ is a martial arts webtoon based on a novel, popular among fans.
The Webtoon Volcano Return Edition is limited to 1,000 units and comes in three colors: Blue, Silver Shadow, and Mint. Daily Gaps offers offline spaces providing various content for communication with consumers, aside from telecom service subscription duties.
