The impact of the light green license plates has been minimal.

The Korea Automobile Importers and Distributors Association analyzed sales of seven luxury brands – Rolls-Royce, Lamborghini, Bentley, Porsche, Mercedes-Benz, BMW, and Land Rover – revealing that the share of corporate car sales has dropped by 1 percentage point. It is reported that these brands sold 71,120 units in the first half of this year, with corporate sales accounting for 31,322 units, or 44%. In the same period last year, corporate sales accounted for 38,112 out of 83,465 units (45%).

Rolls-Royce recorded 76 corporate registrations out of 95 units sold in the first half, a slight decrease from 135 out of 154 units (87%) during the same period last year. Lamborghini also saw a decline, with 163 out of 195 units (83.5%) sold to corporations compared to 166 out of 182 units (91%) last year. Bentley had 102 corporate sales out of 140 units in the first half, showing little difference compared to 293 out of 386 units (75.9%) from the previous year.

While the corporate sales of most brands fell, BMW reported an increase. Out of 35,130 units sold in the first half, 14,354 (40.8%) were to corporations, a 7 percentage point increase compared to 12,875 out of 38,106 units (33.7%) during the same period last year.
