Introducing the New Renault Koleos: A Blend of Luxury and Efficiency

‘Renault Koleos Price’

Renault Korea has set the starting price for its newly launched D SUV, the ‘New Renault Koleos’, at 34.95 million won. The top trim of the E-Tech hybrid, named Esprit Alpine, can also be found at a competitive 45.67 million won (after completing eco-friendly vehicle certification and applying tax benefits).

The New Renault Koleos is the first vehicle introduced by Renault Korea, which relaunched under the slogan ‘Born in France Made in Korea’ last April. Developed as a car that embodies the Renault brand’s DNA of ‘a car to live with (Voiture à vivre)’, it is available with three powertrains: gasoline turbo 2WD, gasoline turbo 4WD, and E-Tech hybrid.

The New Renault Koleos E-Tech hybrid boasts a class-leading system output of 245 horsepower. Its dual-motor system, consisting of a 100kW driving electric motor and a 60kW high-voltage starter motor, pairs with the largest-in-class 1.64kWh battery, allowing up to 75% of total driving distance in electric mode for urban driving. Additionally, true to its multi-purpose D SUV identity, it delivers a class-leading fuel efficiency of 15.8 km/l (based on the Techno trim) during highway driving.

The New Renault Koleos comes equipped with Level 2 autonomous driving assistance features as standard across all models, along with various advanced driving aids. Real-time TMAP navigation and the voice recognition system NUGU auto are also provided as standard features. Designed with safety at its core, the body of the New Renault Koleos incorporates a total of 24 ultra-high-strength ‘Hot Press Forming (HPF)’ components, accounting for an impressive 18% application ratio. This results in high safety levels, even in collision situations.

Another noteworthy feature of the New Renault Koleos is its extensive 2,820mm wheelbase, which provides generous rear passenger space and knee room when compared to competing models. The rear seats offer two levels of angle adjustment and can be split 60/40, creating a maximum loading space of up to 2034 liters (based on the gasoline model) when folded.

The newly introduced ‘openR Panoramic Screen’ comes as standard (though the co-pilot display may vary by trim and be available as an option). The openR panoramic screen features three 12.3-inch displays that function independently while offering exceptional connectivity. The co-pilot display allows for independent use of cinema OTT services, music streaming services, and various web services through the Naver Whale browser.

For users of the New Renault Koleos’s infotainment services, 5G data will be provided free for five years, enabling various electronic devices to connect to the Wi-Fi hotspot set up in the vehicle (with a standard monthly allowance of 20GB before speed limitations apply).

The top-of-the-range Esprit Alpine trim of the New Renault Koleos E-Tech hybrid draws inspiration from the Renault group’s flagship sports car brand Alpine, incorporating ‘Sporty Look & Feel’ design elements throughout the Koleos. The Alpine-exclusive central front grille emphasizes the sporty aspect of the car, while detailed exterior finishing and a metallic black roof utilizing Alpine’s signature blue color stand out. The fully-optioned New Renault Koleos E-Tech hybrid Esprit Alpine includes a BOSE® surround sound system (10 speakers), active noise cancellation, augmented reality head-up display, and soundproof windshield glass.

Manufactured at the Busan plant, which boasts top-notch production quality, the New Renault Koleos will be available at Renault Korea dealerships nationwide starting July 19. After completing eco-friendly vehicle certification in August, customer deliveries of the E-Tech hybrid model are expected to begin on September 6.
