Galaxy Z Fold6 and Z Flip6 Pre-Order Bonuses: What You Need to Know

KT announced that it has started pre-orders for the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6 and Z Flip6 at nationwide KT stores and the official online mall KT.com from the 19th, offering various activation benefits.

According to KT, during the pre-order period from the 12th to the 18th, the selection ratio for the Galaxy Z Flip6 has surpassed half. However, the Galaxy Z Fold6 received a significantly larger number of choices compared to its predecessor. The increase in customer preference appears to be due to the Galaxy Z Fold6’s thinner and lighter design and performance optimized for high-spec gaming. Among the colors available, the new hue ‘Silver Shadow’ was the most popular for both models.

KT ran an event during the pre-order period, offering a free upgrade of the Galaxy Z Fold6 from 512GB to 1TB. KT is the only telecom company among the three to plan a promotion that increases capacity as a pre-order benefit.

Additionally, through a partnership with the popular Naver webtoon , the ‘Galaxy Z Flip6 Maru is a Dog Edition’, exclusively launched on KT.com, sold out quickly during its first wave and received great responses from pre-order customers.

Among the customers who pre-ordered on KT.com, 62% chose the online-only plan ‘Yogo’. This plan is different from existing plans in that it has no contract and can be used at a price approximately 42% cheaper. This plan is exclusively available through KT.com. Notably, more than half of the pre-order customers who chose the Yogo plan reserved the ‘Yogo69 Plan’. KT explained that the benefit of receiving a Galaxy Buds3 Pro or Galaxy Watch7 for free when activating through the Yogo69 Plan attracted customer interest.

KT has prepared various benefits for customers purchasing the Galaxy Z Fold6 and Z Flip6 until August 10. Customers who purchase will enjoy invitations to the Jarasum Music Festival (1,000 attendees, 2 tickets each) as well as movie tickets for families purchasing together (2,000 recipients, 4 tickets per person), Samsung appliances (20 winners), and a 5-star hotel membership (3 winners). Moreover, eligible Y customers under the age of 34 will have a chance to win a Galaxy Watch Ultra or Galaxy Buds3 Pro (34 winners). Details can be checked and applications made on the KT.com website and the MyKT app.

There are also additional benefits for customers who purchase the Galaxy Z Fold6 and Z Flip6 from the official online mall KT.com. Customers can get up to 50,000 KRW discount on devices with membership points and 5% cashback for those using Samsung/BC cards. When customers trade in their old phones, they can get up to an additional 300,000 KRW based on the old phone’s market value, along with a 30,000 KRW coupon for designated accessories and various partnership coupon packs valued up to 210,000 KRW.

KT also introduced the ‘KT365 Phone Care Fold6/Flip6’, which offers both ‘insurance benefits’ and ‘new phone replacement benefits’ while using the Galaxy Z Fold6 and Z Flip6. The plan supports compensation for damage or loss of the Galaxy Z Fold6/Z Flip6, as well as damage to smart devices. For customers hesitant to purchase a phone, benefits allow for the exchange to a new phone by returning the existing phone after 36 months. Customers with special plans (monthly 100,000 KRW) can use KT365 Phone Care Fold6/Flip6 at a discounted monthly rate of 2,770 KRW through point deductions.

Additionally, depending on the requirements of various credit card companies, KT offers a range of partnership card benefits including ‘discounts’, ‘interest-free installments’, and ‘cashback’, along with a promotion called ‘Galaxy Swap Compensation’, which provides up to an additional 200,000 KRW on top of the base compensation depending on the Galaxy device model.

Kim Byeong-kyun, head of KT’s device division expressed, “We hope you enjoy the various exclusive benefits that come with the more powerful Galaxy Z Fold6 and Z Flip6. We will continue our efforts to alleviate the purchase burden for many customers and provide beneficial offers moving forward.”
