Porsche’s Commitment to Charity at Le Mans: A Record-Breaking Gesture

‘Porsche 963 racing at Le Mans 24 Hours’

Porsche has announced that it will donate a total of €911,000 to three charitable organizations this year. Kinderherzen Retten (Support for Children with Heart Disease) and Interplast Germany each receive €350,000, while the Ferry Porsche Foundation will support children and families in need with €211,000.

On the 15th and 16th of this month, the Porsche Penske Motorsports team completed a total of 833 laps with three Porsche 963 cars at the Le Mans 24 Hours race, raising a remarkable €624,750. This marks an increase of 100 laps compared to last year, accumulating €750 in donations for every lap around the 13.626-kilometer Le Mans 24 Hours circuit.

Michael Steiner, a member of the Porsche AG R&D board, stated, “The ‘Racing for Charity’ initiative that started in 2023 allows us to emphasize social responsibility through motorsport, which is part of Porsche’s identity.”

Porsche always fulfills its corporate social responsibility as a member of society, prioritizing people above all. The company is dedicated to various nonprofit initiatives and focuses on sustainable projects in five key areas: sports, culture, environment, social issues, education, and science. In 2023, Porsche contributed to over 150 sponsorship projects worldwide.
