Genesis Partners with TMRW Sports to Revolutionize Screen Golf League

Genesis is sponsoring a new concept screen golf league.

Genesis has announced its partnership with ‘TMRW Sports’ as a founding partner and will officially sponsor the screen golf league ‘TGL presented by SoFi’ (hereinafter referred to as TGL).

‘TMRW Sports’ is a technology venture company founded by world-class golf players such as Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy to lead the sports, media, and entertainment sectors.

TGL will feature a new concept screen golf league held in a dedicated arena equipped with a giant screen measuring 19.5m wide and 14m tall, which is 20 times larger than those used in regular screen golf, and it will accommodate over 2,000 spectators.

The competition will consist of match play with both team and individual events. Distances over 50 yards (approximately 45 meters) will utilize the screen golf format, while distances under 50 yards will occur on actual greens within the venue. The greens are adjustable in slope, making the terrain different for each hole.

TGL is set to officially launch next year under the leadership of Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy, featuring six teams made up of top professional golfers competing against each other.

The inaugural season will take place from January to April next year at the ‘SoFi Center’ in Florida, USA, featuring 15 regular season matches along with playoffs and a championship match. The total prize pool is $20 million, to be awarded entirely to the winning team.

Participants in ‘TGL’ will include Tiger Woods, the defending champion of the ’2023 Genesis Scottish Open’ Rory McIlroy, and the champion of the ‘2024 Genesis Invitational’ Hideki Matsuyama, alongside Korea’s Kim Joo-hyung.

As a founding partner, official automobile partner, and electric vehicle partner of ‘TGL’, Genesis will support Genesis vehicles for players and officials. In addition, they plan to set up a ‘Genesis Lounge’ within the venue and display major models to raise brand awareness among attendees and viewers from over 80 countries worldwide.

Having expanded its global brand experience through sponsorships at major domestic and international golf tournaments, Genesis aims to provide a unique experience to this new generation of players and golf fans through its TGL sponsorship.
