Hankook Tire is set to launch its new premium all-season tire, the ‘Ventus Air S’, in Korea on July 1.
The ‘Ventus Air S’ is equipped with Hankook Tire’s innovative technology, making it a premium comfort tire that combines excellent ride quality and quietness. It is the top model in Hankook’s comfort tire lineup, aimed at owners of premium sedans who prioritize silence and consumers looking for superior all-season performance tires for safe driving. The tire will be available in about 38 sizes ranging from 17 inches to 20 inches, with plans to expand to 21 inches by the first half of 2025.
Designed to reduce resonance noise generated in the space between the tire and wheel during driving, it features optimized shoulder block design that decreases the empty spaces in the lateral grooves, further enhancing quietness. Additionally, a new noise reduction technology called ‘Knurling’ has been applied to create a low-noise environment suitable for premium vehicles.
The ‘Ventus Air S’ will be the first replacement tire in Korea to apply noise grade labeling for mandatory requirements starting in 2026. All sizes have achieved ‘AA’ rating, the highest level for low-noise tires, proving the exceptional quietness specific to the ‘Ventus Air S’.
Furthermore, with the application of a new all-season compound, the tire’s core performance of grip is improved, providing excellent braking performance on wet surfaces during both summer and winter, while also extending tire life with enhanced wear resistance.
The ‘Ventus Air S’ boasts superior performance as a maximized all-season performance tire with characteristics such as ▲ tread design ensuring safe driving on snowy roads with lateral grooves, ▲ outstanding handling performance thanks to the application of 3D cuffs, and ▲ enhanced braking performance through inside and outside shoulder blocks.
From a design perspective, the sidewall design harmonizes perfectly with premium vehicles. It showcases an elegant carbon pattern that expresses the high performance of the ‘Ventus Air S’, along with a sleek design that encapsulates the sidewall and tread pattern. Additionally, the iconic Z shape representing the Ventus premium tire lineage has been incorporated, demonstrating the brand’s heritage.
