LG Electronics is officially launching the 2024 Wireless OLED TV, equipped with more advanced wireless transmission technology, in both domestic and global markets.

The Wireless OLED TV, which LG first launched last year, was developed in response to customer requests for simplicity by eliminating the clutter of cords around TV setups. By connecting external devices like console systems and set-top boxes through a wireless transmission solution, it has received significant praise from customers looking for cleaner living spaces.

The 2024 LG Wireless OLED TV (M4) offers the freedom of wireless technology along with a more powerful wireless transmission solution and AI processor, providing an even more immersive viewing experience.

■ Advanced Wireless Solution with 144Hz Refresh Rate… Introduction of 65-inch model broadens customer choice

The 2024 LG Wireless OLED TV features an upgraded wireless transmission technology compared to last year’s model.

Firstly, the maximum refresh rate at 4K resolution has increased from 120Hz last year to 144Hz this year1). It has also received NVIDIA G-SYNC certification for variable refresh rates, making it the first of its kind in TVs.

This high refresh rate ensures quick screen transitions for fast-paced sports events or first-person shooter games, even in a wireless environment, enhancing smoothness.

By using a 60GHz high-band frequency for wireless transmission, it avoids interference with general Wi-Fi, which mainly operates in the below 6GHz bandwidth, ensuring stability.

Furthermore, it supports Dolby Vision video technology and Dolby Atmos audio technology from the video and sound brand Dolby, enabling an outstanding viewing experience even in a wireless setup.

Additionally, LG is launching a new 65-inch model this year, expanding its product lineup with four sizes of wireless OLED TVs: 97, 83, 77, and now 65 inches. This is expected to allow many more customers to enjoy the freedom of space that the wireless OLED TV provides. According to market research firm Omdia, the proportion of 65-inch TVs in global OLED TV sales was 33.7% last year, making it one of the highest alongside 55-inch models (35.9%).

■ Enhanced AI Performance with Alpha 11 Processor… Improved picture and sound quality along with personalized webOS experience

The 2024 LG Wireless OLED TV has developed its picture and sound quality thanks to its enhanced AI performance.

The Alpha 11 processor applied to this product boasts a fourfold increase in AI deep learning capabilities, effectively upscaling images at the pixel level for clearer visuals, while also analyzing the installation space and content audio to express optimized spatial sound.

This year’s wireless OLED TV also integrates the smart TV platform ‘webOS’, enhancing personalized experiences based on AI. By saying “Log in to my account” to the remote control, the AI recognizes the voice and conveniently logs in, allowing the user to access a home screen configured with set picture modes and frequently used content.

The 2024 LG Wireless OLED TVs in 97, 83, and 77-inch sizes will be sequentially launched globally starting from 1st of the month in the domestic market. The 65-inch model is set to launch in early August. The prices range from 5.39 million KRW (65-inch) to 47.9 million KRW (97-inch). Customers who authenticate their purchase at the LG Electronics online brand shop (LGE.COM) during July will receive up to 100,000 membership points, with additional offerings for 97-inch buyers including the Standby Me.

LG Electronics’ Park Hyung-se, head of the HE Business Unit, stated, “We aim to provide our global customers with a uniquely impressive experience, combining advanced wireless technology and AI performance to meet their desire for both a clean space and an extraordinary viewing experience.”
