Experience Spring in Seoul: The Reading Han River Park Event with Muno!

As spring arrives, LG Uplus is set to enhance the customer experience for citizens visiting the Han River Park.

On May 5, LG Uplus announced its plans for various events utilizing its character ‘Muno’ at the outdoor library event ‘Reading Han River Park’, organized by the Seoul Metropolitan Government at Yeouido Han River Park. The Reading Han River Park will operate every Saturday from May 4 to June 22 at the Green Light Park in Yeouido Han River Park.

The Reading Han River Park is an outdoor library operating over two months on weekends in both the first and second halves of the year, initiated by the Seoul City government last year. It features a unique setup where citizens can enjoy reading freely under shaded areas on bean bags or camping chairs, without any borrowing procedures, along with various experiential programs.

Throughout this year’s event, attendees can meet Muno at different spots in the Reading Han River Park at Yeouido. LG Uplus will provide a photo zone made up of a large Muno sculpture and a ‘reading zone’ featuring Muno character camping chairs, as well as a ‘Muno information board’ to assist with event etiquette.

Additionally, Muno will participate directly in the ‘1st Jamper Sleep Contest’ organized by Seoul City on May 11. This unique contest will award prizes to participants who fall asleep peacefully in distinctive pajamas. Muno, sporting an eye mask, is expected to captivate the audience as it pretends to sleep.

Besides the ‘Jamper Sleep Contest’, the Seoul City government has prepared various experiential programs weekly. Programs include a ‘Personal Color Test’ on May 25 to match customers with the right clothing colors, and a ‘Tarot Love Consultation’ program for couples visiting the Han River on June 15.

Kim Da-rim, head of IMC (Integrated Marketing Communication) at LG Uplus, stated, “We hope the collaboration with Muno character this spring will provide an even more enjoyable experience for citizens visiting the Han River Park, after the successful Reading Han River Park event last year. In the future, we aim to innovate customer experience through various events that can naturally blend into customers’ everyday lives.”

Meanwhile, the opening event of the ‘Reading Han River Park’ on May 4 featured a majestic performance by the Navy Military Band, followed by a concert by pianist Lim Hyun-jung, who became the first Korean to top the Billboard Classical chart.
