Hyundai Executive Joins StradVision’s Board to Drive AI Development

‘Hyundai Executive Sang-Woo Shin’

Sang-Woo Shin of Hyundai Motor has joined StradVision’s board.

Through the addition of Hyundai Motors to the board, StradVision aims for greater growth in the development of AI-based recognition technologies.

Newly appointed board member Sang-Woo Shin graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering from Purdue University in the U.S. and earned an MBA from the China Europe International Business School (CEIBS). With over 20 years of experience in the automotive industry, he currently oversees Hyundai Motor’s Corporate Venture Capital (CVC) investments, including hundreds of direct investments and 17 funds. He has also played a pivotal role in driving the corporate venture-based innovation initiatives of the Hyundai Motor Group.

StradVision CEO Joon-Hwan Kim stated, “We are honored to welcome Sang-Woo Shin to StradVision’s board with the goal of leading the autonomous driving market together. His expertise in the automotive industry will greatly benefit StradVision’s growth.”

Meanwhile, StradVision achieved impressive growth last year, surpassing 1 million units in annual commercial production in 2023. The introduction of StradVision’s SVNet, a ‘3D Perception Network’, has brought about a revolutionary leap in the autonomous driving sector. The ‘3D Perception Network’, developed by StradVision, proposes a next-generation approach to Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) and Autonomous Driving (AD) systems, expanding the role of cameras, excluding LiDAR sensors used in the development stage, thereby eliminating the need for final vehicle-mounted LiDAR systems and providing OEM customers with an economical and practical alternative.
