Volvo Cars Korea has announced that it has expanded its Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) center, located in Pyeongtaek, Gyeonggi Province, to enhance customer satisfaction.

The Volvo PDI center is where vehicle storage and quality checks are conducted before the cars are delivered to customers. Volvo Cars Korea has revamped the PDI center with an investment of approximately 13 billion KRW. The newly expanded PDI center has a total area of 8,369.23 square meters, allowing for the inspection of up to 50,000 vehicles annually.

Notably, the Volvo PDI center is the first in the domestic imported car industry to establish solar power generation facilities and features a sustainable operational mode, such as recycling washing water through ozone treatment. Additionally, to enhance pre-check quality, the facility has upgraded paint booths and lighting to the latest technologies and adopted a driving test process.

Furthermore, to meet the growing demand for pure electric vehicles and plug-in hybrids (PHEVs), dedicated electric vehicle charging infrastructure has been expanded, and specialized facilities for battery charging and safe battery storage areas have been newly established.

Lee Yoon-mo, representative of Volvo Cars Korea, stated, “We have expanded and reopened the PDI center to minimize customer inconveniences during the vehicle delivery process and enhance the reliability of the new car inspection process. We will continue to strive to provide the best products and quality services to our customers through active infrastructure investments.”
