Hyundai and Genesis Certified Pre-Owned Cars: Sales Trends and Price Ranges Revealed

‘Price Range of Models Sold through Hyundai Certified Pre-Owned Cars’

The most sold model among Hyundai certified pre-owned cars is the Grandeur, while the G80 holds the title for the best-selling model among Genesis certified pre-owned vehicles. The price range starts from 10 million KRW and includes listings that exceed 100 million KRW, indicating a diverse selection of vehicles.

According to Hyundai, the Grandeur accounted for 29.7% of total sales in the Hyundai brand as of April 30, following the launch of their certified pre-owned vehicle initiative in October of last year. The Santa Fe and Palisade followed with sales shares of 14.5% and 13.2%, respectively.

During the same period, the G80 led the Genesis brand with a certified pre-owned sales share of 37.8%, while the GV80 and GV70 followed in second and third place with 22.5% and 19.9%, respectively.

The lowest price for a vehicle sold through Hyundai/Genesis certified pre-owned cars was 12.2 million KRW for the Casper, while the highest price was 121.35 million KRW for the G90.

By April 30, the Grandeur was sold between 19.3 million KRW and 54.15 million KRW, the Santa Fe between 20.2 million KRW and 48.3 million KRW, the G80 between 26.7 million KRW and 72.4 million KRW, and the GV80 between 48.2 million KRW and 81.5 million KRW.

As of May 8, there were a total of 640 listings registered among Hyundai/Genesis certified pre-owned vehicles, with 388 from Hyundai and 252 from Genesis, covering vehicles within 5 years and 100,000 km limit. A variety of listings are steadily increasing, including sedans, SUVs, and luxury cars, allowing customers to compare and purchase vehicles that meet their desired specifications and price ranges.

The Hyundai/Genesis certified pre-owned car website and app clearly provide the original price, specifications, and all options of new models, enabling customers to easily understand the depreciation rates of listed vehicles.

Additionally, Hyundai/Genesis certified pre-owned cars do not charge any additional fees other than the vehicle price, delivery fees, registration taxes, and agency transfer fees, which is an advantage for customers.

Since used cars are generally lower in price compared to new vehicles, the amount paid for registration taxes also decreases, and customers can benefit from income tax deductions during year-end settlements. They can also compare and purchase various models in terms of year and mileage within the same price range compared to new cars.

Hyundai is currently running an event where 10 customers who purchase an SUV from their certified pre-owned selection will be randomly selected to receive fuel gift certificates worth 3 million KRW each, until the end of May. Furthermore, customers who purchase vehicles from the Grandeur promotional event in the 20 million KRW range will receive round-trip airline tickets to Jeju Island (2 tickets) as part of an ongoing event.

A Hyundai representative stated, “We will continue to secure inventory in order to meet the diverse needs of customers through Hyundai/Genesis certified pre-owned cars.
